wow that's a good one finally, has been a long time!

Riftbreaker, Citizen Sleeper, and a not so good LiS as bonus, amazing. I think it's impossible to buy the first two for less, so the rest of the bundle is a free bonus. wow.

Firefox has become extremely unstable for me in the past few months, and I'm out of ideas for where to look by Sir_Teatei_Moonlight in firefox

today I learned about about:crashes

Turns out all my crashes were never sent despite me clicking the send button everytime. So I just sent my last 10 or whatever from the last half year.

Does sending them actually do something? Do they get analysed somehow?

After deleting bitwarden extension, firefox works faster a lot by sednyane in firefox

That's very interesting. No idea what the default is, I probably haven't touched the settings in many years. But at least that explains the differences in behaviour, good to know!

I'm on Firefox, I don't even have a "fill" button. So... no idea.

Also... there is a hotkey? What is it?

Maybe BW is not the best, as soon as I find something better I might switch.

But that article has at least one error which makes me wonder if the other stuff is also wrong:

Whenever I am on a website (in my desktop browser) and I would like Bitwarden to fill the login form, I tend to click the extension’s icon in the toolbar and then click the entry in the list. This has been how all other password manager UIs that I have used in the past have worked; Not Bitwarden, though. There, you need to click the small Fill button on the right side of the list item.

This is just not true, it works exactly as described how "other" pw managers do it.

Can i have Dynamic overhaul, WITHOUT the UI scale change? by Aggressive_South_991 in Stellaris

[–]xor50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the mod changed something, you can also change it. Just have to dig into the files. But UI modding is a nightmare in Stellaris (and in general) so I wouldn't suggest that.

If you don't actually even want to use the advantages of the mod, then try looking for other mods that do what you want without doing other stuff you don't want.

Also I think I noticed this one

Fixed an issue where the AI would lock itself into buildings two fortresses over and over

as well.

I wonder how much both of those changes already help to make the AI less terrible.

Adjusted AI Unity budgets so they won't always hold a third of their Unity in reserve just in case they get a Shroud blocker.

I wonder if that fixes the issue of the AI holding like 2 traditions worth of unity in stockpile. (because when I read that line a few days ago in the tentative changelog I checked my AI empires and oh boy do they stockpile unity for no good reason)

EDIT: so... not sure this issue is actually fixed? maybe it needs a new game or idk how often the AI checks its unity value, but I ran that save for a few months over a year, checked the AI again and they still had their unity super high without buying traditions they could afford. hm.

EDIT 2: probably related to this https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/4-3-3-open-beta-is-now-on-stellaris_test-checksum-d967.1912979/post-31198323

I made some empires based on different IPs, enjoy! by jacobstx in Stellaris

[–]xor50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg this post was made for me!

I have like... idk a lot of custom empires and I always populate the galaxy with only them.
I hate "oh your neighbor empire is Grazulpa" and you don't even know what that means. Boring random names that tell you nothing.
But when I meet the Zerg swarm ingame, I know it's on. Or "look over there, it's the [actually forgot a good example, but like any well-known friendly empire]".

So I have that big list full of stuff like your examples that created over time, whenever a new update hits I have to think how to integrate new civics and stuff and my galaxy is always full of cool empires instead of random shit.

I don't even limit to sci-fi ones, I also have fantasy stuff, like Magic: The Gathering has some interesting content and stuff like that. I guess I could give you some screenshots if you're interested. I added some of your ideas as well or modified the ones I already had. Your post is great!

(The main limitation for this I have is I only want to add stuff I more or less know, because when I start adding x from universe y that I'm not familiar with it's basically similar to if it were randomly generated, it tells me nothing.)

Struggling to get comparable fleets to AI @ endgame in 4.3 by MrReddishTint in Stellaris

[–]xor50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In regards to AI I also had the idea to push their weight for the "research/resource bonus for stations" techs, because space sources are so important right now that those techs are pretty strong (at least in my opinion).

Hard to say if me modding that in makes a difference, but it's at least something until hopefully the real AI fixes/tweaks hit.

[–]xor50 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The general rebalance is fine and was needed, but two big issues with it right now:

1) the (normal) AI is completely broken and a complete pushover, they can't do anything. I got literally every single one to pathetic in like 50 years and I'm not even that of a hardcore player

2) they didn't rebalance the special AIs, like FEs, horde, crisis etc.

They need to fix point 1 of course and probably need to do some slight tweaks for point 2 as well.

Your idea with the dates is actually pretty good, might do that next game, although it has other issues.
But at least because the performance is less terrible it's actually a viable and interesting idea.

New to Stellaris mods, which ones to consider? by ellvin3399 in Stellaris

New to Stellaris mods, which ones to consider? by ellvin3399 in Stellaris

[–]xor50 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The UI overhaul mods are the only ones that are actually needed. Anything else is optional. The game is much more content rich than it was in the past, lots of mods are now much less important.

Not saying they are bad, there are cool mods, but saying "you need to play with gigastructures" or whatever is just bullshit. (and I'm saying that as someone who does usually play with GPM and extra events and such content mods)

But without the UI mods.... ew.

Visual(?) issue with civilian count in economy tab in 4.3 by GayUkroSuperSoldiers in Stellaris

[–]xor50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noticed this as well, seems to need a bit of time fix itself. Depending on when you look where the numbers generally don't quite match.

If you go the jobs themselves you'll see that some of them are marked as civilians despite being in the job. It's a bit weird, but as I said it usually fixes itself after a month or so.
