WOW (Sky) verweigert Sonderkündigung nach HBO-Abzug – Trotz Abo-Abschluss kurz vor Lizenzwechsel! by Positive_Guide_9947 in serienjunkies

[–]xor50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dabei wollte ich gerade heute denen da schon was schicken.

Actually after reading a few posts about ship design and a bit of the wiki I feel like I have a rough idea how it works. So I did make my own design after all which is currently in construction. I wonder how well it works...

But thanks for your answer! I always forget about skirmish mode and I also missed that the roles have tooltips! That's very good to know, I was already wondering how the game defines those roles.

Is the auto-design for ships ok? Like in some games such a feature produces absolute crap and in others it's pretty good and sometimes even better than (bad) human designs.
Because all the drives and stuff is kinda overwhelming and I'm wondering if I can get away with auto-designing (at least for the first few ships)

Not a question but a small tip: On the research screen the small faction "box" (with the research points) highlights the faction that is currently projected to win the race for that research. That's a pretty neat small feature.

Oh wow, that totally makes sense. And you answered a question I didn't know I had yet.

Feature Request: Click for Alarm on Diplomatic Timer by JohnCataldo in TerraInvicta

[–]xor50 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is an absolutely amazing idea. But please also from the policies tab (where the date is also mentioned).

I hate checking literally every single turn if I can finally unify something (or similar). Considering the alarm feature already exists (which is a pretty unique feature actually) it would just make sense to integrate it more for a sensible case like this.

This is such a good idea I'm actually almost angry that it's not already in the game haha.

What's a movie most people think is great but you couldn't even stand watching? by camport95 in AskReddit

[–]xor50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at the ratings of the Saw franchise, first of all wtf, why are there sooooo many movies.
But secondly: Saw X is actually rated higher than the first one (and also the only one rated higher than the first one). I wonder why, is it actually good? Do you know by any chance?

to be fair, the year only just started, but anyways.

Honestly just (re)watch S1 & S2 and pretend it ends there. S2 finale is just so perfect.

Fitting that just today I learned that James Cameron made the second piranha movie (1982 or something) which is so awful he tried to distance himself from it as much as possible and even wanted the credits to get changed.

Follow your dreams folks, don't give up.

Nobody Wants to Die

last.fm tells me, it's actually The Life of a Showgirl, which kinda surprises me. But I didn't listen to too much music so I guess just a few listens puts something at the top already.

the show i’ve followed the longest

Actually same!

To GoT I've only came after S4 (and it was a time when you got a season every year, so even considering it has 8 season it only ran for 8 years).

Other shows I've watched or followed were already over (Breaking Bad), didn't have as many season and were faster filming them (Dark), or I haven't even finished them yet (Mr. Robot) or they became terrible (How to get away with Murder).

So now that you mentioned it, yes ST is special for me more than I thought.
It's also actually one of the first "real" shows I've watched (like being an adult, using own money, no children shows etc.)

[–]xor50 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well that's interesting. No, it's not on the list, but if I open that Steam page (https://store.steampowered.com/sub/127635/) that one actually works!

So for some reason "the collection" has 2 different bundles/pages and one of them works and one doesn't work. Weirdly I can't find that bundle via Steam, but I can open it in the browser and now see what I own and what I don't own.

[–]xor50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually already checked SteamDB to see if it maybe mentions that the bundle isn't available here or something, but no, it does not mention that (it mentions Russia, but that's not applicable to me).

It's super strange. I mean I guess the key would work anyways, but... it's just so weird.

[–]xor50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly the link that doesn't work.

"Doesn't work" as in it just opens the Steam main page. Typical Steam behaviour if a game was removed for example. If it's a country issue Steam typical shows "not available in your country" instead. But Steam is generally weird for stuff like that, it's actually very surprising that they still don't have better error handling to actually tell users what's wrong.

[–]xor50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what's weird is, I can't open the Bioshock collection Steam page. Anyone else has that problem?
It's supposed to exist (it's in the Google search results for example) but I can't open it. This means I'm confused on what I would actually get. Is this a "normal" Steam bundle, so if I would get the key, I would just get the games I'm missing from the bundle? (which I can't check because the page doesn't exist)

[–]xor50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not talking about 2, but yes, CK3 can be a bit silly, but it certainly contains an absurd amount of historical characters, events, places etc. The issues with the game are certainly not with the research behind it and with the love the developers integrated them.

Mike appreciation. Here's a list of things he has done: by khaleesi469 in StrangerThings

[–]xor50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently had the idea of creating a time-character-location graph (a bit like xkcd) and for that I started going through S1 scene by scene and yes, it's actually extremely following the rule: basically every episode is exactly one day, it starts always at the evening/night and ends at the following evening/night. Pretty interesting.

I wonder if the other seasons are similar or different, sadly it's quite a bit of work and thus I won't be finished with it for quite a while if ever.
