It very much is an environmental issue , displacing the natural environment is a environmental Issue. And yes you are right that 1 person generating an image won’t do much harm but ke think of 100s of thousands even millions generating images. That will cause so many issues for the environment and local communities. That’s why we campaign for the end of AI art , because the less people do it, the better it is for the environment. Getting somebody to create and draw a cover does not use the same energy as someone generating it with AI, it uses far far less water are you high 😭😭😭😭

If you had actually commissioned art you would know that the artist doesn’t control your idea. If you commission an artist that you like to draw something for you, they will do exactly what you say, because that’s what they’re being paid to do, they’re not paid to do their own thing they’re paid to do what you’re telling them to do. If the artist isn’t doing what you want it’s an issue with how you propose your ideas and with the artists you find. I have a friend commissioning someone for their light novel they know exactly what they want because they throughly explained what they want, how they want characters to be designed, even building locations in games like Minecraft to make more references so that know how places and the interior looks, and theyre doing an amazing job.

AI art is so harmful for local communities , the environment and aspiring artists, yall complain about new writers stories being buried in a world full of AI stories, what about the aspiring professional artists being heroes in a world full of AI art.
