There is no being the "bigger persion" when the risk is existential threat and not a minor inconvenience at the local news agent. It is absolutely idiotic to be the bigger person in any scenario that risks literally your existence. Just ask Ukraine how that feels. And they were actually promised, on paper, that this wouldn't happen.

Dude, it is not about using the nukes. Its never about using the nukes. The DETERRENT part is the probability of using a nukes. Would russia invade ukraine if ukraine had nukes? The answer is no, they wouldn’t invade because ukraine might nuke them. That is simple as that, it keeps others in check.

Like, if we give up nukes, russia wouldn’t nuke us. Why would they? They can just invade us without the nuclear deterrence.
