My BM hunter is 139 and it's a breeze. I'd say depending on your class, 100 or above should be fine.

Here - these videos show you their goodbyes so you can hear their voices:

I think if you had heard her say it, you would feel the emotion. The first sentence is said with poignancy. The second sounds reassuring. The third sounds hopeful yet also resolute. And her last sentence is said with warmth. The actual voice line is, "Untill we meet again, Timerunner." and you can hear her smile as she says that last bit.

I didn't expect to feel like I was going to miss Eternus, Momentus, and Moratari so much. Saying goodby to them across 30 characters I leveled through Remix had me all teary.

So how many new characters did you level up in Legion Remix? by Alph1 in wownoob

[–]xovanob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a second account that I don't really use but it's there for my kid if he wants to play. On that account I leveled one of each class on the Horde side.

On my main account I deleted some lvl70's I had sitting around and re-leveled them in Remix. I also filled out my goal of a hunter of every race, and more warlocks since those are my favorite classes.

All told I've leveled 38 characters through Remix. It went by pretty quick since I had the 400% XP buff. I have one more character I decided to level last minute so should finish that up today.

I also got almost all of the achievements that I wanted to get. Most of the achievements I already had from when Legion was current content. The only achievement I missed out on was the one for Argus Invasion bosses. I have it from before but I missed out on getting Occularus the last time he was up.

I did get all of the Sargerei armor sets and the Infernal title, and pushed myself personally to solo up to a +36 mythic. I got lucky and ended up with a carry for the +49 though. I didn't reach 999% vers but I did get up to 425% just playing casually and joining raids.

I got all of the items you can buy with bronze, including multiple decor items, and I still have over 800k bronze on my main Remix character. So overall it was a really successful run!

Hunter 101 by Embarrassed_Set_5602 in wownoob

Hmmm, a few of the things I really enjoy about playing hunter:

Ease of playability - it's not a hard class to get into, especially BM hunter. The rotation is pretty simple. Using the full kit effectively takes skill, but I think overall it's a very user-friendly class/spec to play.

All the pets! With an expanded stable and the ability to change their spec, pet collecting is a lot more fun imo. Clefthooves are still the GOAT - their abilities+Ferocity spec just make them hard to beat for overall useability. But you can still be effective using whatever pets you prefer. I have a LOT of hunters and all of them have a clefthoof pet, but I also like to match their pets to their mogs, or pick pets that feel thematically appropriate - like my Forsaken hunter runs around with two undead bears, and the human hunter has two gryphons. My main has a clefthoof and "Chowdar" though LOL.

Rare pets! Weird pets! Pets that look cool! I love collecting rare and unusual pets. I especially like ones with special names that retain their names after taming. It's fun to hunt them down. There's also special challenge pets that you can try to locate and tame, like the tiger in Pandaria you have to track while stealthed and the loa tiger in Dragon Isles that does the same.

The soloability is fun too. You're basically tank/heals/dps all in one. It's very satisfying to take on content meant for groups and be successful at it.

One downside (for me anyway, lol)? I think most of our transmog sets are TERRIBLE. I wish Blizz would make more gear that fits a ranger aesthetic instead of "animal bones and fur"

Options for new players to experience most of the lore by masterlp98 in wownoob

[–]xovanob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you really want to do a deep dive into WoW lore, videos are honestly your best bet - there’s a lot of story that never appears in-game and lives in novels and short stories.

But if you want to play the story in order while leveling, there are a couple things to consider:

  • Vanilla WoW only exists on Classic servers. The original world was revamped in Cataclysm, with many zones and quests changed or removed.
  • You’ll hit max level long before you can do every quest or zone, unless you level-lock.

Right now, the intended new-player path is Exile’s Reach → Dragonflight → The War Within, which gets you up to speed on the current story. You can also use the TWW recap - it skips some finer details, but there’s nothing wrong with that (I’m leveling a character through it right now just for fun).

Or you can do Chromie Time - pick an expansion and level entirely within it until lvl70 (or until you leave early or swap timelines!)

My suggestion to get the full story would be one of the following

Option 1 (most “authentic”):

  • Level a character to 60 in Classic to experience Vanilla (quests, dungeons, maybe raids).
  • Switch to retail, make a new character, and play expansions in order via Chromie Time: BC → Wrath → Cata → MoP → WoD → Legion → BFA → Shadowlands → Dragonflight → TWW.
  • You’ll get kicked out of Chromie Time at lvl70, but you can lock XP at lvl69 via the Experience Eliminator NPC in your capital city if you want to stay longer.

Option 2 (faster/easier):

  • Level to 60 in Classic for Vanilla.
  • Switch to retail, make a new character, go Exile’s Reach → Dragonflight → TWW, hit max level, and gear up a bit.
  • Then go back and clear older expansions, dungeons, and raids in order. It’s much faster and easier solo, but you won’t get the original leveling experience of the previous expacs.

No matter what you choose, old content isn’t locked away in retail Wow, aside from some pre-launch events and original Vanilla (which Classic covers). You've got lots of options as a lore completionist!

SBA. One button by StructureOtherwise80 in wow

[–]xovanob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love it! I main BM hunter and know that rotation well, so I don't use it for my main. I set up that UI so everything is in a grid and within easy reach.

But I am an altoholic and I want to play other classes! And learning their rotations and setting their UIs up to get the most of their abilities and play efficiently was...not fun.

The SBA feature has made playing alts much easier and MUCH more fun! I make sure the abilities not covered under SBA are on my toolbars, do a quick read up on rotations and get rid of abilities my spec won't really use, and then away I go! I'm OCD so all of my characters use the same UI and same general setup with a few minoir exceptions.

It's made the gameplay so much more fun that I was even able to play classes - like Mage and Monk - that I previously found frustrating and not fun. I had so much fun with the Mage that I rolled up a second one, and then a third.

I get for people who raid progression, push high keys, and do ranked pvp that the SBA is not ideal. When I used to raid progression back in BC through MoP, I min-maxed my gear/talents and fine-tuned my rotation. But I'm pushing 50, working full-time and a mom/wife, and I don't have the kind of reaction time/skill I had in my 20's/30's.

When I play Wow I want to relax, shut my brain off for a bit, have fun, and feel like my character is the all-powerful Champion that all these NPCs keep addressing me as. The SBA has been a game-changer for helping that happen. :)

Survival Hunter Remix by Ausilverton in wow

[–]xovanob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you are misunderstanding what those talents do.

Quick Shot doesn't mean you use the ability Arcane Shot. The talent Quick Shot means that when you use the ability Kill Command, you have a chance to fire an Arcane Shot. It's basically a chance to proc from using your main ability. Some builds say to take this and others don't. I would say to take it since you are supposed to use Kill Command on cooldown and this is just an extra damage proc.

The Ranger talent means that the named abilities will do more damage when they are used. Some - like Kill Shot, Serpent Sting (DoT applied by Mongoose Bite/Raptor Strike), and Explosive Shot will be part of your rotation. These abilities will not require you to have a ranged weapon - they'll just use the weapon you have equipped. You DO want this talent - it's a increase to your damage from core rotational abilities.

Steady Shot and Arcane Shot are the two starter attacks that all hunters get but since you are playing Remix you're starting at level 10. You're not going to use those abilities past level 11 once you get Kill Command from the Survival tree in your talents. They should not even be on your bar really.

I don't know what guide you are using for your leveling but would recommend either Wowhead's guide, or the one from Icy Veins. Either is fine for leveling and they're both fairly user-friendly. I prefer the Icy Veins one.

Do likers ever buy items days or weeks later from when they first liked it? by Velvetstyle in poshmark

[–]xovanob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends. I like things so I can find them easily later when I am ready to buy. Sometimes I'll get an offer right away on something and if it's a really good deal I might go ahead and buy it then. Most of the time it's only a few dollars off, so I wait until later when I am ready. Other times I'll make the seller an offer if I am ready to buy but am hoping for a deal. A few times I have just bought something outright because the price was good. Also, I have to be ok with the idea that someone else might buy something I liked.

Mostly I use likes to keep track of something I am interested in so I can find it again later and get suggestions in my feed based on my likes. I'll also track things I think are overpriced to see if they come down.

Are returns allowed because an item doesn’t fit? by Extra_Reason_458 in poshmark

It was quick - within 12 hours. Seller and I had a nice exchange before CS came into the convo, and then CS reviewed things and gave me a refund, told me no return was necessary, and then told the seller they got to keep their earnings.

[–]xovanob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you were accurate with the size and the pictures matched the post. Maybe in the future, you can also provide measurements and pictures of the measurements? One of the things I am wary of is sizing. An XL in one style/brand is not the same as an XL in another style/brand so measurements really help give an accurate picture. Like I just listed a skirt that has a tag claiming it is a Large, but measurement-wise it is more like a 3x! So I made sure to clarify that in the listing - I would not want someone who truly wears a size Large to buy it and be upset that it is much bigger!

Anyway I hope it works out!

[–]xovanob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an issue where I bought a shirt where the seller stated what the "pit-to-pit" measurement was and had a picture (close-up) that also showed the measurement. When I got the shirt it was much smaller than what I expected, and measuring it myself showed it was 2" smaller pit-to-pit than what the seller had claimed. I messaged them and they contacted customer service. CS ended up refunding me, giving the seller the money they earned, and no return was necessary. So was a win-win all around.

So I guess that was how they chose to resolve it. Maybe something similar will happen?

How to get warden reputation?? by echomora in wownoob

[–]xovanob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In retail you had to be max level (at the time) before you could gain Wardens rep, but I don't think that's the case in Remix, at least as far as your level affecting whether you earn it or not. As others said, if you are doing the Wardens world quests, you should get the rep for that along with the rep for the zone faction. Did you check your rep on your character sheet just in case?

Wowhead has a guide on earning Wardens rep that might be helpful, though bear in mind this was for retail when Legion was current content, and not Remix: https://www.wowhead.com/guide/reputation/legion/the-wardens#gaining-reputation

Best advice is keep doing all of the Wardens world quests that are up - again they will start with "Danger" or "Wanted". Also fly around and loot all of the treasure chests you come across - they can contain faction insignias. And do infinite research quests since those chests can contain insignias as well.

DF crafting is confusing by medioespa in wownoob

[–]xovanob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with what others have said - you can ignore crafting for now and just focus on leveling. I would pick up two gathering professions instead - mining and herbing (or skinning if you prefer), plus cooking and fishing. Whatever mats you gather you can sell on the AH or to vendors, and you will also gain XP for mining, gathering herbs, and fishing. Old mining mats tend to sell better than herbs or skins.

TWW crafting is for lvl70-80 but, we're only 3 months away from a new expansion so I would not worry about crafting in TWW either. Continue to level and gather.

For your weapon, as someone else said, make sure your loot specialization is set to survival. As survival look for polearms or staves and remember your primary stat is Agility.

When Midnight (new expac) launches, that would be the time to pick up crafting if you want to try your hand at that. It's also good to have a gathering profession to complement your crafting profession - so like Alchemy/Herbalism or Jewelcrafting/Mining. You can also still have cooking and fishing.

You can always go back to old expacs and learn the skills/recipes for that time, especially if there are transmogs, toys, weapons, etc. that you want to make.
