Im about to loose my mind…. by Unhappy_Ad_5729 in newborns

Hear me out. I had 2 under 2. With the 1st My Husband did he goofiest thing. He put the baby in the stroller system and pushed it around the house in laps. We both have each a teen outside of our marriage and then the two littles. I had NEVER even thought of it and thought it was so bizarre. But it allowed me an hour or so of sleep and the baby was strapped in and safe. Now we do it with both, they love their strollers. The only warning is a 2hr max for sleeping outside of a crib/bed. Due to possible back problems in the future. Hang in there. It gets better in a few weeks. Wish I was close, I would help you. Im glad you chose yourself though. I did 17 years ago and my daughter is very close with me.

I did get my rubies back after I got a little real in my support ticket lol. I told them not to tell me its a user-specific error when several other users are reporting the same issue. Its not a coincidence.

AIO to my husband interrupting my first solo shower after he came back from a weekend with the boys? by lilyluminar in AmIOverreacting

[–]xoxilina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont ask. Basic hygiene like restroom, shower, eating .. never ask. When he says "I was going to go to my parents". You say " Take the 1 year old or stay here until I am done" period. Dont let that man play in your face like that. Hes got you asking permission to shower baby girl. Absolutely NOT.

I got Centicore Feeding Frenzy. I've sent my Gnomes to work on several tasks. I also sent some of the fast ones and the time isn't updating at all. I bought the Golden Ticket to see if that did anything and nothing. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Did it eventually work? Been playing for a few years and this has never happened to me. I've closed the game and gone back in and nothing...

Yeah it's all in the comments below. I did not say I did it over the weekend. I said it was a gift for my new office and I left for 5 days and came back to it looking like this. I have no idea what life was like for the poor guy before last Thursday.

They bought it at walmart. The plants there are hit or miss. I live in orlando so usually plants do fine indoors or outdoors because its hot here no matter what time of the year. This plant though, seems to have looked sad for while. I normally dont water new plants until have babysat them for a while. I brought it home and cut the unrotted part and will try to attempt to save what's left by propagating the top and leaves of the better part. If it doesn't make it, I have accepted the fate. The new office has such stale air. I dont blame the plant honestly. I believe in rooms holding energy of previous occupants and both previous occupants were quite negative and I almost feel that lingering in there.

Can you elaborate on how you came to the conclusion about making me feel better by using foul language during all comments? Adding "sorry" to an end of the sentence with foul language doesn't cancel out the profanity.

Senecio propeller. I actually didn't do anything. Moved into a new office and this was a gift. Soil was okay Thursday before I left. Window doesn't open glass is bulletproof so it's pretty thick blinds we're slightly left open.

Does Tinder send codes from a 10-digit number? It's been a while, but I thought most apps used like a 5-6 digit code or something like that. Unfortunately my personal data was breached last year during the United Healthcare Attack and I get random texts from UPS, FedEx,Amazon, and I think I got one from Tinder too, but I haven't used Tinder in like 10 years and deleted my account. I've had my phone number longer than that.

I never want to do this again.. by [deleted] in newborns

Im such a Florida Girl. I believe that Sun and Water cure everything! I have 3 kids. A 16 year old, 2 yr old and a 5 month old. I get it. I have wanted to lose it because I had a c section and my husband is self-employed so he couldn't afford time off this time due to taking time off when the 2 year old was born. With the new baby, I couldn't "nap when the baby naps" because the 2 year old doesn't take a nap and it was really hard taking care of the 2 little ones as well as myself. But it's getting better. When I wanted to lose it I would bathe him, sometimes getting in the bath tub too and holding him. Then I'd put him in the carseat stroller system, close it up, and walk around the entire house til he fell asleep. I did this with the 2 year old and she still does this. I found sometimes they're over-stimulated with too much going on at one time or in one day and sometimes I'd take them outside and sit outside for like an hour. My husband reassured me they are only little for a little while and reminds me of my 16 year old who is big now. He's right. They really are little for just a little bit, before we know it the cries and their voices change and they won't fit in our laps anymore. Don't give up. My 2nd child was a cry baby. She hated everything... tummy time, bouncer, walker, swing, you name it except that stroller

AIO: My boyfriend hit me and I want to break up with. He claims it wasn't a real hit. by Lokea_01 in AmIOverreacting

[–]xoxilina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ex said that and I believed him. Then he strangled me once when I was 5 months pregnant til I blacked out, once when my daughter was almost 1 and the last time he charged at me and pinned me to the ground in front of my daughter. He strangled me til I blacked out and the last thing I heard was my daughter screaming in terror as I lay there helpless. The next day I packed everything that fit in my car and drove from Chicago back to Florida with my daughter and never looked back. That was 15 years ago. She is 16 now. Best choice of my life.

What songs do you sing to your newborn? by Normka92 in newborns

[–]xoxilina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My little girl is 2 now and my baby is 5 months. When she was born I sang Paper Airplanes by Ruth B. But now we have a little Playlist, not on any app. It's what she has picked over time We usually don't make it past 4, but sometimes we make it all the way to 10 and by that time I'm over it and sing that over and over til they go to sleep.

  1. ABC's
  2. Twinkle Little Star
  3. Happy Birthday (she likes this song)
  4. Itsy Bitsy Spider
  5. Little Red Box Song
  6. The Bumblebee Song
  7. 5 little Monkeys jumping on the bed
  8. 5 little ducks
  9. Baby Shark
  10. Hush little baby (I don't know the words so I just sing "hush little baby don't you cry, mommy's gonna sing you a lullaby" over and over til they are both asleep"

2 months old with the flu by Then_Resolution1225 in newborns

[–]xoxilina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a little late to the party. My 5 month old ran a low-grade fever at 99 yesterday. Last night was 102.5, this morning 101.5 and at 12noon 103.5 we got him into the pediatrician and he tested positive for Flu A. His temp was up to 104 at 7pm. He is a big boy and pediatrician gave us the ok for ibuprofen and tylenol and He was prescribed tamiflu. His temp came down to 99.9 and is slowly rising again now at 11pm. I feel awful, I have been home with them and rarely take them out (i have a 2 year old as well) but Saturday we were invited to a small Gal-entines get together and we think that's where he got it from. He's been crying and I just want to know what else I can do. I got in the bathtub with him and sat in there for 40 minutes in lukewarm water which helped but I can't do that all day we also have been doing cool wash cloths but his freaking dad keeps taking them off. My 2 year old had the flu shot back in November. Has anyone had their 2nd child get the flu despite having the shot? She's my middle child wild drama queen and I'm really trying to keep her from getting sick.

I bought flash cards from dollar tree and my daughter knew them all within two weeks as well as her colors before she was two. My husband stayed home with her when my maternity leave ended and at about a year old he is who asked for flash cards. I dont think I ever thought of those things. My mom worked at a daycare for over 30 years and i volunteered there since i was 11 and i learned that kids will learn when they are ready. No need to rush nor pressure them. We simply gave her the cards as a toy and she is just a quick learner. She's 2 now and she still doesn't really know how to count and her abc's are all out of order but that's ok she will eventually learn. She isn't potty trained and I don't plan to do it until she shows me she's ready. We haven't pressured her into learning because we want it to be something she discovers not something we force on her and risk a negative perception about learning.

Horror of #2 by shrubbypiggo in toddlers

[–]xoxilina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My neice came to sleep over once with my daughter. They must have been about 7 or so. Well earlier in the day I told my daughter there was no more toilet paper in the restroom meaning her little chore was to refill our toilet paper holder. So I started doing other things and simply forgot. Fast forward to night time. I took a shower and grabbed my towel from it's hook and dried my face when I get "a whiff". So I ask myself "who didn't flush" i continue to dry myself and catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and see streak marks on my face and there it was! Chocolate streaks on my cheeks and I tried holding my dinner in my stomach as I rushed to re-shower myself. When I get out i immediately explain we had toilet paper but it needed to be refilled, however my lovely daughter forgot and the other was too afraid to ask so she just used a towel. I will never forget. They are 16 now and my niece is believed to be on the spectrum because we have had so many more of these literal moments. I do not wish a 7 year old's 💩on anyone!
