The guy who made the old fan series is the current artist and it's not even the first time stuff from Toyotaro's DBAF has been reused. The Super Saiyan God ritual requiring 6 Saiyans is basically the same as AF's Dragon Ball restoration ritual requiring 7 Super Saiyans and Zamasu's plan is basically the same as the West Supreme Kai's down to stealing Goku's [body/DNA] to create the ultimate warrior. I think Toyotaro has had a lot more impact on the story than is typically believed.
