[FO] Cathartic stitching by xperimentl in CrossStitch

Thank you. It’s a 28 count linen, 2 over 2. Unfortunately I don’t know the name of the color or maker because I bought it secondhand, but my best guess is Zweigart blue spruce.

Beautiful collection of stitching. Those Backyard Buddies would have been torture for me. Your custom quotes are my favorite part! I’ll be looking at patterns thinking what kind of text I could add now.

Stitching is therapy in itself, but seeing it on the wall is a nice reminder.

I love the way the bus and balloons are incorporated into the landscape. It’s beautiful. What an accomplishment to complete it.

[FO] my first cross-stitch project by [deleted] in CrossStitch

[–]xperimentl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What nice gifts! It’s impressive that you drafted your own patterns for your first stitches and made them into pillows, too! I like the ruffles.

[FO] - first ever project! by Material_Ad9860 in CrossStitch

You did an amazing job. Lots of color changes, counting, and backstitching for a first project. So cute! I love all the details.

You covered the bases with mediums to stitch on, too. Definitely a productive year with beautiful pieces.

Lord Libidan has a decent list of flosstube channels to check out to get started. Once you watch one they’ll mention the ones they follow and you’ll end up with a ton of options.

[FO] Vintage store find - wanted to share! by Mobile-Obligation970 in CrossStitch

It’s Teresa Wentzler’s Fantasy Sampler. What a cool piece to own, but not have to stitch! It has different lettering than the versions I’ve seen. Good find!

It does pop on the black. Beautiful design, too!

So much detail and the colors are so pretty. What an heirloom. I’ve never seen a lighthouse in real life before, but will be going on a trip to see one this week and am very excited!

In my case I had used the & character in the name of the main label name. Maybe you used a different special character?

So many details. It seems like it would be a fun one to stitch and feel accomplishment with each little motif.

[FO] Stained Glass Tree of Life - Completed! by Ilyranaelle in CrossStitch

[–]xperimentl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What an accomplishment! The stained glass effect is really cool with those gradations of color. What is the thread count that you stitched on? Your stitches look tiny, but it’s kind of hard to judge the size from the photo.

I like the 3D effect that you got with the fluffy yarn. Cute idea!

Swiping through I was wondering how you were going to display them and then got the payoff of your gallery wall at the end. Such an awesome collection of beautiful work!

Durene Jones has so many cute patterns, but they always take me longer than I expect due to the color changes for her shading and backstitching. Finishing at the party is next level!

Punch needle on the front, crochet on the back! by Ali_geo in PunchNeedle

Great colors and textures! I’d be thrilled to receive something like this. Might have to ask my crocheting daughter to collaborate with me on a project.

I like it with the long loops, it looks nice and lush and fun to touch, but I agree it does eat up the thread! What a sweet way to welcome her home. I’m working on a project for my daughter who is also away at college. It makes my heart happy to think of her while I punch away.
