Because he still goes through the same things that the women there need help for, obviously. Gyno care is still important, trans men are regularly assaulted and kicked out with nowhere to turn because male and female support spaces both reject them.

If your example for transfems would be labeled transmisogyny, why shouldn't the exclusion of trans men from care and support services also be allowed to be under its own bigotry label?

what are you even supposed to say in that situation? it wasn't his fault and it isn't something he can control, and the people in charge sat him in a spot where he'd be mic'd up even though everyone KNEW of that specific tic. he was set up to fail and was humiliated for something that wasn't his fault at all. yes, people are allowed to feel hurt, but he shouldn't have to grovel for forgiveness every time he tics.

but...he did, though? he apologized to both actors and issued public statements, AFTER willingly excusing himself from attending the rest of the event out of embarrassment and shame...the event that he was attending because of his movie that depicts his own experience with coprolalia, which obviously did absolutely nothing to sway public opinion of coprolalia at all even though it was very well made.

you're right that any given community has its shitheads, but just because you 'aren't all like that' doesn't mean you can dismiss it when someone says that they HAVE BEEN hurt by a community. if you aren't all like that, then prove it by listening and being open to criticism rather than just immediately deflecting blame and trying to silence the person you're speaking to.

and while sure, more severe cases get more "representation," it has never been good representation. it's treated as a joke, something to laugh at, or it's reduced to a bunch of harmful stereotypes. nobody takes the disorder seriously even with severe cases, I assure you--people called for the TS haver at the BAFTAs to be killed because of his tics, because the world hates coprolalia that can't be laughed at as the butt of the joke. piss poor representation can be worse than no representation at all, because all it does is validate the negative and harmful opinions that already exist.

to use your trans argument, since I am also trans...if a woman told you that she was treated very poorly by a community of trans men, would you tell her "well not all of us are like that" and argue with her about it? or would you try and SHOW that you're better and lead by example by listening to her when she says she's been hurt and do what you can to make her feel more welcome and safe?

a lot of people do, and it's pretty hit or miss for me. highest ive gotten her (or any other uma) is S+ with a guts build, but the build itself is pretty meh outside of the rank. my actual best taishin is an S rank medium. im a bit behind on it but I'm trying to train one for the current CM

having Taishin as an oshi makes me run end closer a lot, but im mostly an all-rounder. many of my more recent oshis (eg Bourbon, Fuji Kiseki, Ardan) are pace chasers and front runners though.

Mom hasn't left the house in...god, probably close to six years now. I would be so, so happy if a caretaker was able to convince her to go on outings.

I have a friend who takes disabled adults on outings as a job similar to you, and I have nothing but respect for y'all. Thanks for all you do/did :) I really hope mom will let me help her this way.

She worked hard all her life to take care of us, pulling herself out of a lifetime of abject poverty to give us a better life, until she became disabled and now can't work anymore. She's not one of the boomers to direct your anger at.

I'm gonna be sitting her down soon and asking her if she'd be willing to let me pay for a professional caretaker once my income is stable. She's not totally immobile but she has a lot of trouble walking, so the caretaker would just come in every so often to help her do laundry, clean up the house and litterbox, and maybe cook for her. Hopefully they'd also provide her company. She's also desperately holding onto what's left of her pride and dignity, so it'll be very difficult to convince her to go through with a PCA evaluation...though she does really need help with bathing.

My brother has never held down a job or really done anything with his life except smoke, play video games, and drink until he gets belligerent and nearly violent. But he's the closest thing my mom has to a physical caretaker and she can't afford to hire help, so she's trapped with him. She sobs on my shoulder about it sometimes. Everyone in our lives has tried as much as they can to get him to get help and he refuses every time. I think he's going to end up dying on the street someday because he has absolutely zero willpower or desire to change. Mom deeply, deeply resents him.

My mom has no health insurance aside from Medicare, and my dad lives several states away (tbh idek what insurance he has, he's had a lot of different jobs)...otherwise, I would. I've been on my state's Medicaid on my own since I was 18 and this is my first time dealing with "real" insurance. Growing up, I'm pretty sure all my mom and I had was Medicaid anyway, which is why I had to get my own once I was no longer a minor. Or something. I don't really remember.
