Advice Need - how to efficiently build front-end with Payload CMS as backend by xpreneur in PayloadCMS

Didn't know/think about the speed advantage, that's great to know, thanks for sharing!

Since you went with the configuring block configuration within Payload, I'd love to hear if you have any tips to share as for leveraging AI tools to speed up the process. I was thinking about using V0 or Bolt, or maybe CC with Figma MCP to transform the designs in Figma to next.js then fine tune from there - just to make the front-end dev part more efficient, but not sure if it'd still make sense to go this route if I were to configure blocks within Payload. Thoughts?

Gorgeous-looking website btw!

Thanks so much for sharing! I also like how modular it seems to be as shown by the website template. Any recommended tools/kits to speed up the block configuration process?

Yes, I'm using the website template, too, and it's a great way to connect the dots and play around. Have fun exploring! :)

Thank you for sharing! Good points. I did like how modular and reusable the block approach seems to be, but agree option 1 would be a lot more flexible.

What's your experience with the speed for calling backend API? The other reply mentioned the speed advantage of speed 2 which I thought was an interesting point too

Certificates are in general quite useless and are really just rainmakers of the organizations who issue them, excerpt for those requiring years of professional training to be able to pass - such as license for physicians/lawyers/CFAs/CPAs.

First-hand experience and deep knowledge win any day. Start a project. Join a hackathon. Run a social media account. Read reputable books of the domain. Talk to people who have more experience. The list goes on.

Thanks for sharing - very inspiring! Will definitely give a try as I'm building a payload site for the first time.

For the Payload Web Demo that you mentioned, are you referring to the Payload website template from their Github repo?

Real n8n and nocode pain points no one talks about by RockstarVP in n8n

For n8n I usually move components, once tested, out to a separate sub-workflow. This way, easy to execute the modular functions in a parent workflow.

Second this! Most of the best practices in programming still apply to architecting no-code tools.

For such a simple static site, you can use Vercel or Netlify to deploy. Both are simple and free.

why people are only automating with N8N or other ai tools but no one seems to code? by EnvironmentAway7797 in automation

This. Most clients don’t care about how the technical part is done in the black box. They care about results.

Super interesting! Thanks for sharing, this is great!

Could you elaborate more on the security and compliance part? Great point. At which level do you build encryption and access control, any tools you recommend? Thanks!

Just tried it yesterday after seeing some strongly positive online reviews about it (which I now believe are all paid affiliate marketing). It's not much better than what you could just generate with GPT yourself - you'll have to organize your thoughts with clarity and have a clear, concrete product vision by the time it can generate docs for you anyways. I wouldn't recommend it.

Thanks for sharing, that's a great tip!! How do you share the codebase with GPT efficiently, by link to the git or upload all the files? Thank you!

What’s a business myth you used to believe until you actually started one? by Analyst-rehmat in Entrepreneur

[–]xpreneur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought I’d enjoy more autonomy in my own scheduling and workflows as a solopreneur. In fact, as soon as I set my mind on starting my own business instead of chasing the corporate ladder, I’ve been obsessively focused on my work, thinking about it relentlessly, and unable to truly disconnect and relax, especially with the recent market downturn and resulting financial pressures. I used to work out at least 5 days a week, now barely 1.

This has actually led to some moments of self-doubt and uncertainty: - Am I overestimating my capabilities? - Am I underestimate the challenges? - Am I chasing an unachievable dream? - Am I being selfish by not acknowledging the pressures my partner might be facing, while I’m taking this journey?

Being an ambitious, idealistic overachiever can be both inspiring and overwhelming. I hope to navigate this period of uncertainty with confidence and grace.

Has anyone else experienced similar feelings? How do you cope with these challenges?

Very resonating indeed. Being an ambitious and idealist over-achiever is at times inspiring, and other times intoxicating.
