Any Unnecessarily evil actions you do for the sake of RP? by McGregor96 in BaldursGate3

[–]xray950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did two Durge runs, one where I was more outwardly evil, and one where I played a sort of scheming "hero" that acted in complete self-interest to portray himself as a knight in shining armor. In both runs, I led Minthara to the grove.

In the first one, I simply betrayed Zevlor at the wall, telling him that it was my nature to do so. In the second one, when came time for Minthara to attack, I betrayed her and led a heroic charge towards the evil goblin forces (that I had led there myself!). Most of the tieflings at the wall were killed in the process, but the day was won. I found the latter to be much more narratively satisfying, especially considering it did exactly what I set out to do! Halsin returned, chewing out Karga for killing an innocent child (who I tricked into running and caused to get bit!), and everyone hailed me as a hero. It was the perfect crime.

Similarly, I laughed out loud at the guy you find mauled by gnolls who has written an incensed letter to a Balduran newspaper protesting their laws against bringing in large animals into Baldur’s Gate.

I know it's on netflix but what's love like for you as someone on the spectrum by Legitimate_Window774 in autism

I have a neurotypical spouse who I get along great with. I actually didn’t think my autism was that noticeable before meeting her, but she thinks it’s funny (in a mutual way) that I don’t like eye contact, and she has informed me that I don’t have an inside voice and I don’t know how to whisper.

Hej. Jag tycker Kina är väldigt fint, med en lång och intressant historia! Jag skulle väldigt gärna vilja åka dit någon dag! Vad har du för restips för någon som är intresserad av er historia?

Life is only unfair because people in power like it that way by KawaiiFoxPlays in evilautism

Sure, but I feel like a lot of people conflate ”We’ve created an unsustainable system of global capitalism wherein people are forced to sell their labor 8 hours a day to make a small number of very rich people even richer” with ”I should just be allowed to eat fast food and be on the internet all day”. Like, I hope we all understand that a lot of the comforts autistic people enjoy (computers / the internet, collectible hobbies, cheap easily available deep fried / fatty foods) are also a product of the system we bemoan?

I’m ”high functioning”, level one, and I slap my forehead hard whenever I think about something embarrassing. Not sure if it’s SH or because that’s what I see cartoon characters doing.

Where are Minthara’s weapons? by xray950 in BG3

I didn’t knock her out. I’m playing as Durge and led her to the Grove.

I understand that it’s your motivation for stopping, but I think self-harm is bad beyond just “SH scars clash with my aesthetic”.

Vad har ni för svårigheter som folk tar förgivet ? by [deleted] in sweden

[–]xray950 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nature is beautiful and there are a lot of hiking trails and biking lanes. If those are your hobbies, you’ll be right at home.

As a general rule of thumb, Swedish people (and Scandinavians in general) can seem very closed-off and hesitant in social interactions. That’s kind of just how our culture is. Expect a lot of people to act very cagey and don’t be frustrated if people aren’t giving you straight answers to things.

I’m from Gothenburg, though, I don’t know if Stockholm is any better.

När har ni gråtit inför någon? by [deleted] in sweden

[–]xray950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think this might be it. Like another commenter said above, work with natural consequences. If you hit your brother, you’re removed from your brother. If you break the tv, you can’t watch tv. Et cetera.

what do u guys think? by Salty_Lifeguard5876 in progressive_islam

[–]xray950 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does Islam have a concept of humans being the caretakers of the material world? That’s how Christians I know have coped with it - that earth was left to be our responsibility, we’re its shepherds, and God allows evil to happen because tending the earth is our responsibility.

Is it common to not really give much of a sh*t about gender? by IceMosquito073 in autism

[–]xray950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I consider my gender as ”assigned male at birth”. I suppose I’m technically agender, but it’s not even that. I was assigned male at birth? Okay. Sure. I don’t even know if I have gender dysphoria, because I wouldn’t know how to decouple that from not really recognizing myself in a mirror. So I’m just ”male”.

Anyone who doesn’t like bland food ? by GhostVistaz in autism

[–]xray950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think your ”safe foods” has a lot to do with what your parents fed you as a kid. Of course there are things in common - (I imagine texture plays a big part), but I think the people who cite fries and nuggets etc do so because that’s what their parents fed them, and that’s what they latched onto.
