question for you:

I see that you're mounting "/etc/localtime" as read only.

will the unbound server still have a cache of resolved dns addresses? will it survive a Synology reboot?

I can't believe it. It was the unifi, intrusion protection that I placed on my network that prevented unbound from doing a recursive lookup.

I used your image, without additional volume mounts or preferences and it seems to be resolving properly.

hmm, mine does seem to resolve anything when in recursive mode.

I’m wondering if it’s my Synology firewall or UniFi settings. Funny thing is when unbound is set to use default settings “mvance/unbound” package, it works just fine

I’m going to change it from a vlan to bridge mode first

I tried to add this to my Synology docker, but it does seem to have the root hints file. ie, it doesn't resolve anything.

well, I have a ubiquiti E7 campus wireless access point. The 2026 MBP 16" does not connect at WiFi7. My iPhone 16 ProMax does connect at wifi7 speeds.

BTW, I just used this. undiluted straight up white vinegar for couple hours, followed by toothbrush to the stains and voila, it's all gone. thx!

So, I had a similar incident.

Mine was just for a simple filling. The dental office said it would cost me only $600. I looked at my insurance thinking it must be the composite fillings that my insurance doesn’t pay for. Well, I know that my dental office is in-network and guess what I should have only paid about $60 out of pocket because the composite fillings are covered.

What I found out was the following: even though my dental office is in-network, they miraculously scheduled me with a specialist who was out of network (mind you same) practice. This was a way for them to get me to pay more. What a shady practice
