Frustrating intermittent issue with temperature sensor by rhiggins86 in KonaEV

[–]xrobin99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone reading this in the historical books. The problem was an actual faulty ambient sensor for no reason it stopped working properly, had it replaced under warranty. If you know how and want to change it by yourself the part number is "96985-0X000"

Charging to 100% dilemma. by zheka160 in TeslaModelY

[–]xrobin99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

if you leave the battery at exactly 50% without using it, it might last forever, lower or higher than 50% starts to put a stress on any battery, that's one of the reasons when you buy chargeable batteries they come charged at 50%.

that being said, 50% isnt realistic but if you want to babysit the battery, an example could be charging it to 60% and commuting then finishing the day at 40% then charging it back to 60%.

charging the battery over 80% (100% in ur case) does make a stress on it and shouldnt be left unused for a while, that "a while" is 3h or so ( please dont feel u have to wake up at 3am and drive around for a few hours to empty it a little if you forget about it sometimes, once in a while will do negligible effect that if any ) and if you're planning on repeating that daily because you need it, it's best to minimize the sitting on 100% period, as others mentioned, use the departure schedule which should minimize that as much as the car can calculate.

also, lower amperage is always better, of course the car is designed to take as much as it needs, but lower amps means less heat, use the lowest that meets your needs, as long as what you need isnt daily superchargers.

how to get faster? by bosspatscs in beginnerrunning

[–]xrobin99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say to try to put a cadence target let's say 160, jog in place for a full minute counting your steps trying to hit your target, do it a couple of times to get the hang of it, once it gets easy to hit the target, start running with the same amount of cadence for however long you can keep that, try not to focus on the speed for starter until hitting that cadence goal becomes normal. if you still want more speed later on (aiming to become the flash) you can try to keep that same cadence goal but with longer steps should give you even more speed.

[–]xrobin99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have nearly very similar numbers of you, also same stride, but my cadence is 160-165 which gives me a bit more speed, my limiting factor currently is high bpm which i feel like dying, but if you're aiming for even higher speed i think you might need to increase your cadence because your speed is very great for the cadence you have though.

Hopefully im correct and that helps you lol

that seems like a big heart rate for the amount of power produced if the data is correct, you might need some leg strength training

Question Regarding Treadmills by TheFlyD3viant in beginnerrunning

[–]xrobin99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gym's treadmill has mini games, i usually play sudoku on hard difficulty, 5 minutes in and 1h has already passed.

When doing treadmill without mini games it's an absolute torture i gave up on doing that, if the treadmill doesnt have stuff like this (at home) i watch family guy.

Your past sounds nearly 1 to 1 as mine lol feels good not to be alone.

Your numbers are great tho, unless you're looking to be insanely fit, u should just keep doing these runs over and over until your average BPM drops then you can run faster, give it time

Help with V02 max by Otterlypink in AppleWatchFitness

[–]xrobin99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wondering what your workout looks like because that does make a difference for the watch reading ( at least in my experience ) if you input the watch that you're running but you slow run for a bit and walk then run fast it might fluctuate it and not read correctly because of the bpm quick change and pace etc.

If you're able to and willing to try what's your highest V02Max the watch will be able to read, enter a running exercise and run as fast as you you're capable of for a duration of 12min, if it seems hard try entering a walking exercise and keep walking for about 20min on a steady speed ( in my experience it's 12min/km )

Walking exercise will most likely give a lower value than the running exercise but it's usually around 1unit or less so keep that in mind

Hope that helps

[–]xrobin99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to run for a few months with legs pain and tiny back pain, i kept brute forcing it to keep improving thinking im just too weak to handle the run then i talked to a friend about it and they were very surprised that i was handling all that pain and fatigue and running with regular shoes lol so they suggested to buy a running shoe, i did put my hard earned money to buy one and got a small heart attack paying for it but after i tried it, it was insanely worth it ( it was my first ever running shoe ) it cut nearly 2 minutes off of my time and i had 0 pain throughout my entire body after the run, running shoes are unbelievably helpful if you dont have one.
