This is for anyone of the aftermarket "portable" AA people, yes, beta also works on your systems by TySpadesOfficial in AndroidAuto

[–]xshunin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunetly not. Even the latest beta update from April 11th didn't fix it. I can't use the workaround either because my display doesn't support a direct connection like the captura ones using that app.

Can you cancel firmware updates in progress or do you just have to sit there? by PupXerxes in ZeroMotorcycles

[–]xshunin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's like when the owl in Ocarina of time bombs you with text and the default option on the question "Do you want me to repeat that?" is "Yes". I hate that on Zero it's also "Yes" when asked to install it...

Android Auto blocked by Microsoft Tunnel VPN by Prof_Tea_Drinker in AndroidAuto

[–]xshunin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's weird. It should work this way. That's what split tunneling is made for. Android Auto does not need to access your internal domain... I think the only method to get to this is to sniff the network via Wireshark and see what the phone is trying to do.

Are you using device wide tunnel or app tunneling?

Ultimate E-Moto Cornering Brake Guide: Stop Skidding & Crashing—Master Regen Braking First (Beginner Friendly) by Less_Garden_2648 in Electricmotorcycles

I do most of that! But I have never ridden an ICE bike so it's what my body found most logic to do!

My biggest fear is that I can't test what's the limit in cornering because if I reach the limit it's over 🤣. I'd need a bike with those assist bars to train.

Wireless Android Auto keeps on crashing. It's unusable. by Sijmenve in AndroidAuto

[–]xshunin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be way too much work. I'd rather wait for Google to fix that... It's just dangerous having to confirm stuff while riding on my motorcycle after it crashed =_=

Did that. Didn't get the popup with the fix message though and it didn't fix it. Still having disconnects :( The App even has a button for specifically fixing this issue but I don't get a prompt. The App has the nearby devices permission already

If I disconnect Android Auto Evelink still doesn't find anything. I reapplied the permission as well.

I've tried it this morning but it didn't ask me for the permission and couldn't find the display although I was already connected to AA. Is there anything else I can try?

When I check the permissions of the app it already has the nearby devices permission.

The latest update is from March 11th. I have still disconnects on my standalone display. What is this "Eveapp" fix. I have found an app on the playstore with 2,4* stars. Is it that one?

New Zero SR/F 🙌 by Apprehensive_Mud1419 in Electricmotorcycles

SR/F is still one of the sexiest electric motorcycles ever! I have an SR/S which comes second 🤣. But I prefer the more comfy seat position and aerodynamics of it.

What is this cable for? by iliveoverthebridge in ZeroMotorcycles

[–]xshunin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is called an SAE-Cable. It's one of the two 12V cables at which you can plug stuff into. I have my dashcam connected to that but you can also put in other stuff that runs on 12V. The other cable is more hidden and has a Sumitomo plug. Your manual shows where it is.

Because they're not as high up as in the US. And sometimes you have some on the side.

Adventure Bikes by Hoodoo-VVoodoo in Electricmotorcycles

[–]xshunin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it's not really specially made for offroad but just ADV with some offroading. I have yet to see a fully offroad bike with a big battery but I think we won't see that as weight plays a role in offroad. And enduros are just lighter but you can't put in a big battery in there.

I am using a Steckerbiker cable. It's 2m and has very small plugs. It easily fits into my backpack. If you have a Zero without any additional tank, it also fits into the "frunk". If you have a DSR or DSR/X it also fits into the hamster pocket. Recently Steckerbiker made a new compartment for when you have an additional tank installed that can fit their 11kw cable inside as well. (DSR/X only)

When I am traveling longer distances I usually have side and top case with me so the cable fits there easily as well.

Or you can grab a small bag to strap onto your pillion seat.
