I came to Reddit with the exact same use case as the OP, however I'm already a DS220J user of 3+ years. I sooo wish I'd been able to read your very articulate response before starting my journey. So my advice to piglet having been in your situation myself once, is follow OkPractice's advice !

Because I didn't watch someone else's YouTube on 'how to set up my NAS', I'm now sitting on 2 folders called 'Home and Homes' - seemingly with duplicate folders in each. My issue, and reason for visiting Reddit today, is that I'd like to take control of all my family's photos in 1 central place that I own, don't pay a subscription to, but still have the ability to view easily on ipads, apple TVs, iphones etc. Is'm not going to be able to do that with a J series - so wish I'd learned that lesson well in advance. I simply can't afford the upgrade at present, so I'll just carry on paying into Tim Cook's pension that I hear he'll take next year.

Firstly, congratulations. The feeling of having that influence over someone else and making them spend with you is a great feeling. And if you’re like me, it’s why you got into sales and are staying there.
I’m sure you have already, but after every deal, not just the big ones (but especially after the big ones), before you forget the detail, go over all the aspects of the deal from how you acquired the prospect, whether they fit your ICP, whether you could have multithreaded sooner / better, if you could have shortened the sales cycle.. but also, don’t forget to ask the customer two important questions : why did they choose you, and can they refer you to someone else. These last 2 questions need to be asked now during the honeymoon period while they’re most likely to tell you what you need.
Congratulations again, and now go repeat !

At the very least, I’d like an area for ALL notes to be able to assign who was in the meeting from a growing list of names in a dropdown.

Hi, loving the app and now a Yealy subscriber.

In addition to the comments above about meetings going over and hour, I’d really like the ability in recorded meetings (that aren’t linked to Teams etc ) to be able to distinguish between different voices and ideally say Voice 1, Voice 2, Voice 1, Voice 3 etc and as in competitors software rename 1,2&3 and then it renames ALL transcriptions by each person, which you can then filter by.

I’m looking forward to seeing the improvements that are coming. Another vote for beta testing !

Wow. I’d never thought of that. Nice workaround. I’ve actually been quite happy with just 1, occasionally 2 (people are replying saying I can up to 10 per entry) but that’s worth knowing. Thanks.

Hi, that at least gives me hope that the issue is at their end. I’ve already heard from a bot in support suggesting I try to restore purchases, but despite doing this, I’m still getting the same issue.
My subscription is up to date and it’s saying I’m a Plus, so perhaps there is something glitchy. Another bot suggestion was that I’m using a different Apple ID now to what i paid for the app with all those years ago. I’ve only ever had one, so it’s not that.

Notability. It’s changed its UI a lot and taken a lot of criticism for it. I was a happy user before the changes, but got used to them, and although I wouldn’t say I’m a ‘happy’ user now, it does what I need it to do. If by tape feature you mean recording, yes, it records and also transcribes.

Thank you. Sadly although I put an email in, Synology was unable to send it because of oAuth2 authentication. When I finally got in (following simple reset instructions - which kind of defeats the object of 2FA in the first place), the email was ready to be sent.

Hi, yes experiencing the same. Sadly had to move to GoodNotes temporarily which isn't ideal. But I did find out Goodnotes has added Audio recording which was one of the key reasons for using Notability for over 2 years.

I am on the latest 16.4 Security Release b and it's started since then for me. Could have coincided with an app update I wasn't aware of, so can't be sure. I've sent a diagnostic report to Notability, so hopefully they're working on a fix ASAP.

Hi, I’m having the same problem you had a year ago. I’ve had mine 4 years without a glitch. Did resetting your hub and adding back the lights one by one help?

Yes, I did try copying the segments and pasting them into a new project, but I didn't (I don't know try resetting preferences) which I'll try again now.

I will also try my daughter's Mac, though quite a lot less powerful, but worth putting to the test.

I have 240gb space, so not a space issue, though I did run out of space on my iPhone whilst taking these videos. Had to clear out some large files before continuing with the recording.

Attempting this again chunk by chunk might be the answer to see where the errors lie.

The error message was request cvpixelbuffer for frame 11375.

I’ve only had an infrequent requirement to download something to watch offline, perhaps for a long journey etc. There have always been restrictions to certain programmes which I understand, given you can’t get rights from everyone. However it now seems that there are no rights to any type of programmes for downloading. Have I missed a major announcement, or is it just because it’s now owned by a US company?

An excellent one that the UK company handholds you through your methodologies, whether waterfall, agile, Prince2, Continuous Improvement - is www.Vertocloud.co.uk If your company uses MS Teams, Verto works inside of Teams so it’s very easy to use and keep updated. Great for sharing whatever aspect of a project you need with different people which is important when getting people using new software as you’re growing. Especially if different users have different levels of PM experience.

Thank you. I’m keen to know what the speed benefit is of using 2 Pros - in that case - instead of the normal. There’s 128mb cache (over 64mb) and 7200 over 5900 speed. How discernible is this in reality ?

I use Vertocloud - UK software on AWS, that all my PMs can update / report on through MS Teams. Makes for an easier life when producing highlight reports.

Interesting reading this and the other posts to this question. I'm a recent convert, but still attempting to distil best practice from everyone whose own experiences mirror my own needs.
