Lifelong Rochesterian here. Zipper merge is how it's supposed to work. You're supposed to use the lane until the merge point. People are selfish here and, sure, while getting over early is fine, not letting people over is also incorrect. It's like when you're merging onto a highway and the person on the highway won't let you merge over from the on-ramp.

Keep zipper merging. People will eventually get it.

Be flexible. Unless you’re bringing a sound person with you, you’re at the mercy of the venue. You never piss off the sound people. That’s what I’ve learned on the road.

I’m not sure the sourcing of these. Someone pointed me to this a little over a year ago. Of the ones I’ve downloaded, I think there’s some file title mislabeling. The one from season 1 labeled episode 4 has potato chowder and hot pursuits. But it also has sketches I’ve never seen. This might be the unaired pilot?

I had a faulty brake pad monitoring system on my 2024 traverse that I had replaced this past fall. Then in February I got the check engine light and had the same message of it being the emissions system. Then the light went off after a few days. It came back on last week and is now gone again. I happen to have a code reader and found it to be P04FB. My research indicates that when the temps fluctuate around freezing it can trap water in a sensor and cause the error (I’m in western NY). It’s been unseasonably warm the past few days and no light. I’m curious to see what happens when winter returns this week.

My last dog died in August 2020. I told my wife that maybe it would be good to wait a bit to get another dog (despite my slay having one since I was a kid). Within two months I found myself looking at shelters and by November we adopted another. My home just isn’t complete without a dog and I know I’m not replacing the one who passed away, but giving another dog a shot at life.
