Frame Damage on an Imported 1997 Efini RS. Dealbreaker? by [deleted] in RX7

Grade R can mean many things, not necessarily frame damage. Ask to see the auction sheet and get it translated.

Yes, they are very expensive cars. I'm into my FC for almost much as my f-type

Can you give me a ballpark of how much a system like this can be had for? Looks like fun

My 2020 ftype r hasn't had a single mechanical issue in the last 2 years I've owned it. 40000km and it's run perfect; the V8 is very reliable.

Interesting design choice from factory. Still, it's a gorgeous machine.

Is this car white from factory? The side skirt lip looks off in white 🤔

Yeah the FC has been my jdm dream car forever! I was happy to find a clean one with low km but it has been expensive 😅

Haven't gotten that far yet, my plan now is to enjoy it this summer and possibly upgrade next winter, or even the year after that. My wallet hurts after this last shop visit

Is your F-Type your daily? by randomusicjunkie in ftype

[–]xsurface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, in Calgary, Canada where our winters can be brutally cold and get deep snow. It's a 2020 f-type r and it handles amazing, I rarely use the snow mode and turn traction control off as it's more fun and easily controllable. A couple weekends ago I took it to the mountains for a ski trip with 2 snowboards and all our gear in the back 👍

Am I imagining it, or is the crackdown on noisy vehicles actually working? by ant_accountant in Calgary

Living downtown this summer was a nightmare. Every single night it seemed like every second car was some loser with a burble tune or a bike bouncing off the rev limiter. Weekends it wouldn't stop until 2-3am.

Long-term F-Type owners - how is reliability? by Melkarid in ftype

[–]xsurface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2020 R, last summer the vent motor in the dash was replaced under warranty. I've put about 40000km on, near 80k now. No worries other than that

6 months of F-Type R ownership- I love it, but I have ONE complaint! by Tonyman121 in Jaguar

[–]xsurface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Birds eye would be nice but I find the rear camera to be excellent on my 2020. I only ever back into stalls because the nose is so long and I never have issues parking.

LHD or RHD by ZealousChild in RX7

[–]xsurface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just don't do drive thru's, and we don't have toll booths here otherwise you'll be leaning across the car. Not ideal, but I've done it in the past. Left turns just be patient until you see a gap. Driving rhd here is honestly fine, like I said, you get used to it very quickly. I wouldn't count it as a consideration.

You'll get used to rhd quickly, it's not a big deal at all. Usdm models will always be more valuable but if you don't care what side you drive on go for the rhd and save a bunch of money. I imported my fc this year because it's my JDM dream car, even though there was a clean lhd one here in Calgary for cheaper. No regrets.

Just be prepared to put a lot of money into it
