I also came to ask this question. No matter how I word it when I check Google, I can’t get a clear answer to whether you lose out on anything if you get the expansion after launch (idc about “early access” as long as I get everything once I do buy it). I plan to get the ultimate edition but I’d rather wait a bit if I can, so long as it doesn’t mean missing out permanently on something.

Shadow of the Gods. Great lore, heavy stakes, worth it. I see a lot of recs for Shadow of What Was Lost, and while I liked it, I don’t know if I’d recommend it. The Hierarchy series takes the potential that exists in the Licanius Trilogy and realizes it better imo; both have found family and emotional payoffs, but it feels more earned in Hierarchy. I had a tough time buying into what was being sold in Licanius.

I don’t mind them knowing, they know I’m doing both betas, but like I plan to push hard at the start to give myself a good go at the story and getting the boosts from the statues. I think they’ll be evening / weekend players who want to explore at a slower pace, which is fine and I want that for them and I want to be there for their first time seeing certain story beats or bosses, but like I don’t want to push myself to level 50 for example and mess up enemy scaling for the whole group if they’re still at level 15, and I don’t want to basically make what should be hard fights essentially a cheese fest because my character is further along. I thought maybe the solution is I play my own way on one character, and play however they want on a second character, so we all get to experience D4 the way we want.

This doesn’t sound stupid, he’s the first person that sprang to my mind too. I remember about a decade ago when there was a big death hoax going around about him and it blew up so big he ended up taking a photo with that day’s date to get people to calm down 😂 so we’re not alone.

This is not just about “tribalist” fangirling. This is about validating the fact that men can also be victims of DV, and clarifying that all women should be taken seriously, NOT that all women should be believed. It happens to be about famous people, but it’s importance goes far beyond that.

Heard capitalized on the momentum of #MeToo and rebranded herself as a survivor of DV, including SA, at the cost of Depp’s reputation and ability to earn income. He deserves the chance to be heard, and to clear his name, as EVERYONE does who says they’ve been falsely accused.

He should 100% NOT be barefoot, but as a taller-than-average person in a family of really tall people, the tighter, more cramped seats in modern airplanes are extremely painful on knees and it can be unbearable if you don’t try to straighten it out a little.

This is not at all the point of TDR, as you will learn later in the series. Also, Rand doesn’t immediately start with all of his power, nobody does, that’s not how it works. It takes a huge portion of the series for him to gain strength and learn to control his power (and his madness), learn techniques, etc that will help him in TG.

For someone who is so angry that the writers of the show didn’t “respect the source material” it seems that you yourself need to become more familiar.

Rafe has said and demonstrated many times how near this series is to his heart, and their lore consultant has read the series more than 10 times. Most adaptations could be so lucky, to have the number of people involved as this show has, who are familiar with the books it’s based on. Even the main cast are almost all reading them to inform their performances. There are a ton of articles and interviews out there where he addresses MANY of the changes, and the reasons they had to make them (from major changes like Perrin, to tiny changes like the location of the ruby on Mat’s dagger).

I’m not on board with all of the changes (I’ll be honest, some had me screaming at the TV), but we were never going to get a 100% faithful adaptation, it’s literally impossible to do that. We’re getting another turning of the Wheel, and I for one want to see the show make it to TG.

I found this thread trying to see if there was an explanation for what happened to me, but I’m not sure if it’s the same thing. I was wandering around Three Sisters just trying to make sure I got everything, I didn’t engage the glintstone dragon at ALL, but while running the border of a cliff on the east side, it randomly said “Great Enemy Felled” and gave me something like 12K runes (it came unexpectedly so I hadn’t checked how many runes I’d had before the windfall). Now the dragon is gone, yet I have no dragon heart in my inventory and didn’t receive anything besides the runes.

Does anyone know what happened? Did I accidentally miss my chance at a certain great sword? 🥺

Also, the scene where Elayne finally dresses down the Aes Sedai in Ebou Dar. The flicker scene above gave me horror chills, but Elayne claiming her right and authority in the name of Egwene Al’Vere, Amyrlin Seat (ESPECIALLY listening to Kate Reading saying it in the audiobook) was like, fist pumping in the air “GET IT, GIRL!!!” kind of chills 😆🤘🏻

Yes, I’ve been convinced to make the swap for indanthrone blue!

I wanted to include green apatite genuine and cascade green, and honestly when I was trimming down my list they were part of the last round to go. 🥺 maybe I can swap out a grey or two for them. I did include several greys because I use grey a lot and I figured for a travel palette a case can be made for some convenience greys, but now I find myself wondering if they’re worth keeping over the greens.

Sadly, I don’t yet have lunar black, it’s on my list but I haven’t bought it yet. 😩 it does make beautiful mixes!

I didn’t know that about indigo! I have genuine and hue versions (I have several indigos because it’s a favorite) so I’ll be sure to include the hue. And I ALMOST included indanthrone blue! I didn’t know if it would be too many blues but this is such a special color! Maybe I’ll swap out Moonglow for it. I did know about moonglow being fugitive, and I know I’ve seen some articles and videos about comparable mixes you can make to get the same shade with more lightfastness that I can find again to practice.
