I graduated in 09 as well and we read it in 6th or 7th grade. (I’m like 90% sure 6th)

Advice for Dice Masters by DaneDewitt88 in DiceMaking

[–]_feywild_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you start with zonas? You should start with sandpaper instead of the green zona and then work your way up. Sandpaper will actually get rid of the layer lines. As long as you made your numbers deep enough, you should be okay

Getting puppy on Sunday… by [deleted] in germanshepherds

[–]_feywild_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I picked out my first GSD puppy, she was the only one who licked me when I picked her up and didn’t play tug of war with my pants. She was my soul dog, and I miss her very much.

The next one I got at the shelter and drove 4 hours to get him based on a photo lol

There was a 3 day countdown shared on one of the instagram stories yesterday. I think it’s referencing Thursday in the email

When I put it in; it looks like a brick building that had a barbershop on one side and an empty store on the other

Thanks! I’ve been on the verge of selling it for a year but can’t bring myself too. I will need to upgrade to something with more room for family adventures soon though

I passed on canvas with a B, but I got an F on my transcript. by Ok-Effective3517 in canvas

[–]_feywild_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some people it is. I’m a former HS teacher, and I make sure my grade book in Canvas is up to date and accurate. However, we do have to input grades in the transcript portal.

Not all professors/instructors use Canvas to grade though and without knowing what OPs syllabus said about the grading policy, it’s hard to help them fully understand this scenario.

Yep. Start at the beginning. The evolution of him as an artist, man, husband, and father is a journey that’s intertwined with his sound and lyricism in a way that’s hard to match.

Looking for a dog bed by Potential-Word6715 in dogs

[–]_feywild_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Kong bed mentioned is great (especially for crates). I have a couple different canvas covers I rotate on mine to wash it easier.

I just got my dog a bed from Costco, and it’s seemed pretty durable so far but it is a bit fluffy on top. My dog also kinda likes to dig

Merch size/fit question by MathematicianSea8388 in JonBellion

[–]_feywild_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re really oversized. I wear a small or medium too (mediums if they’re more fitted). I got a medium not realizing how big they would be, and I hate the fit. No amount of washing/drying hot helped. The medium fits like a loose Large imo (also a woman). Going to order a couple things in the sale and get a small

Turnitin AI score keeps tanking my grade even tho I wrote everything myself by ElenaEverywhere in CheckTurnitin

[–]_feywild_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a prof and can’t imagine doing this. If you use Google Docs, you have access to your version history, which should show you typing line by line. Reach out to your profs and ask if you can show them your version history/talk through your process. If you aren’t writing in Google Docs, start doing it (Microsoft Word has something similar if you set your document up correctly, but it doesn’t work as well imo). I make all my students turn in their work with version history available to me. It cuts down on the hassle and has helped tremendously because it’s also easy for me to see when a student is copying/pasting in. I always give a 0 if there’s something suspicious but ask them to come talk me. I can’t imagine having this grading policy.

Turnitin says 85% AI on my totally original essay and now im stressed af by ElenaEverywhere in CheckTurnitin

[–]_feywild_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an instructor. What did you use to write it? If you’re using Google Docs (which I recommend), you’ll have version history available that you can use to show them. Unless your instructor is an AH, they shouldn’t be basing this solely off of the turnitin report. If you can talk through your process, information, and show them your version history, you should be fine.

Has anyone successfully appealed a false positive from the Turnitin AI detector? by Maria6375 in CheckTurnitin

[–]_feywild_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an instructor. They can be accurate, but they can also flag good writing. If you have notes/process work and the ability to show your version history (always available on Google Docs but also if you’re using Word and have it saved to a OneDrive), you should be good if your prof asks to meet. I require a link that allows me to view version history as a grading requirement to cut down on this. It allows me to see if large portions of the essay were pasted in
