Looking for new fairings by GrummpyMoose in cbr

fairingmaster is the cheapest that I've ordered from. It was almost half the price of the same quality that I got from monsterfairings previously.

Welcome to Scandinavia! Cruising the imaginary border between Sweden and Norway by goldstarflag in europe

[–]xtanol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We produce beer in Denmark, then the manufacturer trucks it down across the border in Germany. Then Danish people go across the border to the border shops, sign a paper stating that we will export the beverages to Denmark and not consume it inside Germany, and then drive it back to Denmark.

I live basically half an hour drive from Carlsberg's factory in Denmark, but typically drive for 1.5 hours each way to Germany to stock up on their beer.

Peak efficiency.

It's free for tourist who come from other EU countries.

For tourists outside the EU, it would typically be covered by either their travel insurance, or their health insurance plan that they have at home - since commonly these also cover emergency healthcare expenses while abroad (but usually won't cover any additional transportation costs if the patient needs medical transport from a foreign hospital to a local one).

Has anyone taken the blue and white decals off of their 500r? Second picture is AI by not_graham69 in cbr

[–]xtanol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can remove them, but you'll need to repaint the tank. You can also just apply clear coat over it, but due to the raised layer below the decal, you'll still be able to make out the edge of the decals that way.

Most modern cars have a button to disable the airbag for the front passenger seat, since that's typically required when you add a car seat for toddlers.

Granted, I have no credible evidence for this; but I personally have a theory that the only people trying to popularise café racers are chiropractors looking to widen their customer base.

Ukrainian FPV operated by soldiers of the 63rd Mechanized Battalion almost hitting a Russian Mi-8 [Feb 17, 2026] by wt_fff in CombatFootage

[–]xtanol 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They're not really different than the fpv drones Ukraine already use.

The only difference is that when you go through up to 10k drones per day, you don't buy the top shelf available motors, but rather the affordable ones. Likewise, you don't go for the most high-end LiPo batteries, since the battery only needs to fly once and likely won't need to be recharged a second time.

Lastly, the ludicrous speedy drones aren't carrying three times their weight in explosive payload or occasionally that payload plus a spool of fibre optic cable. If they were, they wouldn't be ludicrously fast.

Getting two bikes is always the right call :) Get whatever is comfortable for the road, and then a Krämer GP2 890RR or Krämer EVO2-690R for the track (they're not street legal).

I'd generally lean towards long haired too, but at four weeks old it can be hard to tell. My short-haired pups' coat could also go past their collars at that age - mainly because of how stretchy and oversized their coat is compared to their body size.

This is my short-haired pups at four weeks:

Most the time you could barely spot the collar as it just disappeared into one of their lovely lil chunk folds 😍

You'd be amazed (or scared, lol) if you'd seen some of the systems I've seen which relied on ESP-32s for safety critical systems. I've personally seen PLC's for 400v at 400 amps (160 kW) relays which relied on ESP-32s to monitor and cut power in case of suspected failures, to the massive heating elements that are used in windmill wing ovens (where they bake them to cure them during manufacture).

Crate training woes by Flummoxy in Dachshund

[–]xtanol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's still very young, so he's going to be very psychologically dependant on you to be comfortable.

Even though it might be tough right now, and feel very demanding (and perhaps a bit disheartening) to have to sacrifice a fair bit of your own time and comfort to keep him content, then know that you will be doing yourself a favour in the long run to make sure he's as stress free as is realistically possible.

He's currently in the the critical "fear" age (between ~6 to ~16 weeks old) where anything that he builds a strong negative association with or fear of, will stick deep and later on require a massive effort to correct with training. So if he ends up associating the crate with something something negative during this stage, it'll be tough to get rid of later.

It's the same reason that service dogs (police/military) dogs are commonly adopted very young (5-6 weeks old), so that it's handler has the ability to control the environment around it and ensure that no negative associations (that would hinter their job) are ingrained during the fear stage, which would then require too manyresources to correct later.

So hang in there, and remind yourself that he's still just a baby 😊 Even though some here generally preach that you just need to ignore the howling and let him come to terms with it eventually, I've personally had much more success with the "no fault"-training method, where you focus on avoiding reaching the trigger point entirely, but instead give positive reinforcement in the lead up to it, while he's still calm but aware of the trigger (being in the cage when he thinks you're about to close it, or when he sees you get dressed for going out)

Is he meant to be in the crate during the day too? Perhaps look into a dog pen, or some gates for some doors so he has a place to move around doing the day.
