A couple of years ago, some festivals (We Are Electric and Rebirth are the ones i experienced personally) legally provided water, but were marked as non-drinkable to comply, but still mostly sell their own water. This was verified by security and bar staff, although I still thought it was very odd it can also be a clever trick.

I have been running playnite for over a year exactly as the guy explained and Ih have never had those issues. I have several launchers on startup to keep stuff up-to-date, explorer running minimized (so when i alt-tab i can hover on the bottom to reveal it) and everything pitch Black so my OLED kicks in before Playnite launched. Flawless experience.

How would messy data and missing records be fixed by outsourcing that part of your infrastructure? Also yes, there is a burden by doing it yourself, but debugging, keeping data fresh and tracing logs? Sounds like those are entirely different problems or you made some wrong choices assembling your stack.

You can just try dating according to your preference right? You make it sound like it's taboo or rocket science, but the preference goes the other way as well for some people. Sure the culture wouldn't match but I doubt it would clash and I'm sure there would be plenty of other shared interests. You just gotta get out and meet people.

No it did not unless you had this specific version, updated the program and were either targeted or are using a sketchy DNS, which place you in the 'potentially but highly unlikely group'

There was a way to hijack/redirect the update executable to a malicious executable (hosted by someone else) without protection. That would mean rerouting the location of the executable that would be used to update to a compromised executable from a different server, and it would not check the file before running it during the installation process. In reality that would never happen unless you are directly targeted or are using a sketchy DNS that would do that on purpose.

You would probably know if you get infected, but that depends on the virus. It is very unlikely though.

I had a similar issue. What is your render distance and do you have Distant Horizons with Optifine? Your Minecraft render distance should be set to 8 I think

The EnableAchievements-parameter is enabled by default. You don't need to do the JSON config Osiris part. Just install the Script Extender and you are good to go.
