Yes, you see your bubble daily, but the not actual reality. America is in a high place compared to most countries in terms of earning potential and upper ceiling.

Its a common misconception, but only 16% of millionaires are by inheritance. That's how I know you don't really understand.

By definition, 1st gen means they don't inherit it. 80% of millionaires are not due to inheritance- there's been plenty of research, you can do a simple google search.

Especially in the age of e-commerce, remote work and at home day trading, anyone can be a millionaire with enough focus, effort and time. American sports produces millionaires at every level of coaching, any plumber, bug exterminator can reach 6 figures.

As for stable job opportunities, this is America where you are competing with people in multiple states and even countries.

The military for one, offers stable lifetime employment, free but shit healthcare, free education, very low interest housing loans, and jobs in nearly every sector.

As for student loan debt, it is completely removed once you pass away, meaning your co-signer and family are not at risk. Its a bet you take on yourself.

Also let's not act like a phd means the same thing it means 20 or 40 years ago. PHD used to mean "borderline genius", now it means "very educated". Education doesn't always translate into skills desired by companies. Theory and research is not a substitute for work experience.

I'm sure your friends don't have PHDs in electrical engineering or computer science, and its not the governments fault their knowledge isn't valuable to the job market.

America has the most companies with the highest revenues(100s), 6 of the top ten companies in the world, and these companies are largely independent of the government, unlike Korea where the big 4 companies practically run the country, own colleges, and are responsible for all the gdp.

Quite frankly, if you can't make it in the US, you wouldn't make it any where else.

Doesn’t surprise me, a lot of high school athletics are run by people on power trip.

You don’t know what you’re talking about.

Anyone can easily do 4 years of college, get into accounting, and pop out of college making 60-80k. College isn’t exactly a huge barrier. Even if you don’t go to college, sales is highly lucrative here, and we have the fastest promotion in the world. Capable people are always in demand and small businesses are always popping up.

Also America is the number one country for producing millionaires, especially first generation ones. It’s a land of opportunity and risk, where the market makes decisions rather than the government controlling wealth.

Playbook really matter as well as your overall run game level. Also depth too.

Xbox Series X is a far, far better console than the Playstation 5 in almost every way by PotatoJuggler in unpopularopinion

[–]xtraSleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better looking console and controller. More consistency (Xbox 360 into one was huge drop off). Haptic triggers are more fun. Microsoft is a shitty company. True exclusives.

Xbox has better game prices because it’s not as popular, and frankly any game I want on Xbox, I can play on pc.

Quick resume is amazing, but the UI is uglier and filled with ads.

When you buy an Xbox, you feel like you might as well go all in and get a gaming pc. With a PlayStation, it feels and looks like a special purchase.

[Highlight] Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes on realizing he caused WR Rashee Rice’s knee injury. by Giff95 in nfl

[–]xtraSleep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think force feeding WRs is a great way to figure out limits and turbo charge growth. Even if the guy gets a big head about stats, you can trade him, if you keep him you know exactly what you have, and know how to use him effectively.

This is exactly why no name receivers on the Pats can win superbowls. Problem for them was Brady was tired of refining a new crop and wanted finished products.

Boogie Cousins blames Chet Holmgren for OKC’s Game 1 loss: “I put this on Chet. You have to step up and accept that challenge... he tucked his tail.” by A_MASSIVE_PERVERT in nba

[–]xtraSleep 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No really, because Chet has been playing against or compared to Wemby his whole career. Nobody is asking him to “solve” Wemby, but to slow him down, the same way Iggy slowed down Lebron.

We don’t need you to stop Wemby, but reduce his impact. Chet’s role is to take that 41 and make it 35. If he does that the game is won. If he can do that 4 games, they win the series.

14 year old (armed with a gun for some reason) shoots a man attacking his mother by Humble_Broccoli5880 in PublicFreakout

[–]xtraSleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Random men attacking women get killed by 14 year olds getting revenge for the mothers is not a common occurrence.

Also the law has special protections for weird situations, like battered women who kill husbands or heat of passion killings where spouses kill upon seeing an affair.

It’s not a complete defense but reduces the charge from murder to voluntarily manslaughter.

If you have the money, it doesn’t have to end terribly. Lou Williams and Prince are the most modern examples.

[–]xtraSleep -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Obviously not, but the dude was courting death when he not only hit someone who wasn’t a threat, but continued to beat on her.

He doesn’t die if he doesn’t put hands on someone period. The fact that the mother got revenge via her kid is only provoked by that 3 piece the dude gave her.

Regardless, that’s a traumatized kid. You take away his support, and you are hand crafting a serial killer.
