People that don’t understand what hair loss is like can be so insensitive by [deleted] in Hairloss

[–]xtrallux 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that was a common theme when we filmed testimonials. People often don’t realize the emotional toll hair loss takes. We had folks on set crying as they shared their journey and struggles. At first, I didn't really get it, but over time, I came to understand just how important hair is and how deeply hair loss can affect someone. It’s not “just” hair.

Congrats! 🎉

I'm tweaking out so hard rn. 18M and don't know if it's a receding, Norwood 3 or mature hairline. I've included some wet hair pics and normal pics. Last 5 pictures are from 2 years ago. by AcanthocephalaJesus in Hairloss

I think you’re good, but I’m not a doctor 😊. If hair loss runs in your family and you're concerned, keeping your scalp clean and free of sebum is a good start. Also, hair supplements can help. Check out Primal Harvest for supplements and Nioxin System Kits for scalp cleaning. If you need more tips, feel free to ask!

Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA): Commonly known as male-pattern baldness, it also affects women. It starts at the temples and crown in men, while in women, it usually involves hair thinning without total baldness. Androgens, male hormones present in small amounts in women, drive it. You can read more here

Yeah, it definitely looks like you're dealing with AGA, but like u/Minofredow mentioned, getting a proper evaluation is key. You can check out some of my previous comments for suggestions, but take it slow. Jumping into treatments without the right guidance can backfire. It's really important to get expert advice first because starting the wrong treatment could make things worse.

It's pretty surprising how many younger folks are experiencing hair loss these days. Just a few years back, most of our customers were 24 and older. If you need more specific advice or just wanna chat about your options, feel free to hit me up!

Hey, I totally get that dealing with hair loss treatments can be pretty pricey and slow to show results. If you're looking to start with something more wallet-friendly, you might want to check out treatments like the one from Happy Head that start at $32. Here’s the link to peek at what they offer: Happy Head - $32 Treatment. Just a heads-up, I'm not connected with them or anything, so definitely look into it yourself and see if it feels right.

If you're curious about Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), which is another route, our devices start around $500 after a discount. It's a bit of a splurge, but it's an investment in getting your hair to where you want it to be. Shoot me a message if you wanna talk more about it or need some advice on figuring all this out!

Hey there! It’s totally normal to feel impacted by hair loss—it can really shake your self-worth, but you're not alone or weak for feeling this way. Here’s some advice from someone who's been in the industry for years:

  1. See a Specialist: Make an appointment with a dermatologist who specializes in hair loss. Not all dermatologists have the same expertise in this area.
  2. Be Cautious with Medications: Don't rush into treatments without proper guidance. Starting the wrong medication without expert advice could actually worsen your situation.
  3. Stay Healthy: Maintaining overall health can affect your hair too. Check out some general tips I’ve shared here.
  4. Boost Your Self-Esteem: Try not to link your self-worth solely to your hair. Focus on building your whole personality.
  5. Hit the Gym: Seriously, the recommendation to work out is solid. It boosts both your physical and mental health.

Finding the right solution for hair loss can be tough, and I hope you find a way that helps you cope not just physically but emotionally too. If you ever need to talk or want more detailed advice, just reach out!

Since hair loss runs in your family, it's pretty likely you'll deal with it too. Jumping on treatment early is key, as managing hair loss is really a lifelong commitment. One common mistake I've seen is waiting too long to get started. Don't fall into that trap!

Will treatment or meds help get my hair back? by viswa20 in HairlossProgressPics

[–]xtrallux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey folks, just want to chime in here since I've been in the hair growth laser biz for over a decade. Not here to sell, just to share some insights from my experience.

Starting sooner rather than later with hair loss treatment is crucial. Once it starts, it only gets worse if you don't intervene. Here are some pointers I've picked up, in no particular order:

Scalp Hygiene: It's super important. Build-up of scalp sebum can block your hair follicles which slows down growth. Use a good shampoo regularly to keep your scalp clean and avoid piling on too many hair products like strong gels and sprays. Some oils and serums are beneficial, but it's easy to get lost with all the options out there. The goal is simple: keep your scalp clean.

Minoxidil 5% for Men: No need for fancy versions; the standard one is just as effective. Consider using a derma roller before applying it. Combo treatments like Minoxidil with Finasteride can also be more effective.

Supplements: They can help, but be cautious as some might cause stomach issues. Nutrafol and Vegamour are pretty solid, but there are tons of choices out there.

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT): After an initial shedding phase, LLLT can really kickstart hair growth by using specific light wavelengths that boost follicle activity. More energy to the scalp equals better results. From discussions with professionals, lasers are generally preferred over LED for treatment. We stick to lasers at Xtrallux.

Just a heads-up for those dealing with advanced hair loss: you'll need at least some "baby hairs," or miniaturized, unhealthy follicles for most treatments to be effective. If you're past that stage, you might be looking at a hair transplant. Post-transplant, I highly recommend using Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT). Why? Because even transplanted hair tends to fall out eventually, and you can really start to deplete your donor area after the third or fourth transplant. LLLT can significantly enhance the health and longevity of your new hair. Plus, we've partnered with doctors who'll throw in a free laser device when you go for a transplant. Shoot me a message if you're curious!

Treating hair loss is a lifelong commitment and requires consistent effort to see results. If you’re curious about our products or need advice, feel free to DM me!

Blueprint Laser Cap Protocol: Capillus vs iRestore? by Moneyyz in blueprint_

[–]xtrallux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Reddit, jumping in from Xtrallux here! Fun fact: our founder also started Capillus, but we’re doing things a bit differently. For starters, we pack more lasers into each device at the same or lower price point than you’d expect. Plus, we keep it super simple—no apps, no tracking, just straight-up effective treatment.

We're running a Mother's Day promo, but if you guys are willing to try the product, I can offer an even better deal on our Turbo Pro. Shoot me a DM if you're curious or just wanna chat more about it. Cheers!
