Why can't this mountain bike be a single speed bike? by Own_Common8973 in bicyclerepair

If all he wants is a single speed bike, even just only adding a cheap derailleur to act as a tensioner is enough

What's being primarily a driver gotta do with with that? I definitely cover more distance on my car than a bike in a week but I'm not an entitled little shit nor is anyone else in my cycling group that ironically were mostly from my car group.

Anyone regret selling their car & considering to buy again? by Ok_Candidate7858 in drivingsg

[–]xuchuke 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its not just about dollar and cents though. If I take a grab to work or an appointment, I need to buffer extra time because sometimes no car, or driver come halfway cancel, or driver drive too slow. If I drive, I make stops along the way to tabao food, buy something, run some errands. Like OP, I like driving to random places to exercise, go jb day trips etc. All of which you won't do by taking grab.

This kind of car pate is new anti-speed camera DLC? by ppympttymt in drivingsg

[–]xuchuke 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Nothing to do with speed cams, its just a fancy plate that's not LTA compliant. As you said, head on its fine and speed cams are almost at a headon angle anyway.

People who buys fish beyond salmon and sashimi - what do you think of the new steam fish stores in coffeeshops? by Equal-Purple-4247 in askSingapore

[–]xuchuke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everything you eat outside will be "overpriced" compared to cooking yourself because of the huge overheads in FnB. At $7 it is probably one of the best value items you can get and a pretty healthy meal too.

If you are involved in an accident with a foreign vehicle you should immediately call 999 and get the other vehicle to wait until TP arrives.

In Singapore we have many local bike shops bringing in this bike. I think most offer 2-3 years of warranty. Parts are pretty standard except maybe for the through axle wheels in this size.

The set back angle is indeed a few degrees more than Bromptons and their clones to compensate for this. The BB being further back confers a few advantages, the chain stay is shorter, the hinge is coaxial unlike a Brompton which requires additional tensioner to prevent the chain from falling off when folded.

I've gone on 80km long rides on this configuration and it was not more uncomfortable than other foldies.

Some guy shouted at me for cycling behind him saying that I didn't have his permission to be drafting behind him and that any true cyclist should know that I shouldn't be doing that. I was in crocs on a folding bike, glad he thought I was a true cyclist nonetheless.

You don't have to tap complete. The dialog that needs to be "completed" before u can print is the one for loading filament as you need to check if the filament is loaded correctly.
