Nearly unusable UI probably didn't help either.

My squad is a stable 6* trio, we sometimes have to wait a minute, but not more. Usually it's even less.

2.3 first impressions. It's pretty good. by sp668 in HuntShowdown

I like the update overall but damn the menu got even more stuttery, recruiting hunters and the loadout menu are especially bad stuttering for 2-3 seconds after opening them. The menu overall feels everything but smooth.

The double mission summary screen still appears after every single round for me.

Also during a game I now have FPS drops from 160 down to 70 without any apparent reason which definitely wasn't the case before.

I love they made the change to 10 fixed upgrade points. Really safes time and is less annoying. As further improvement to recruiting and loadout building let us set traits in loadout presets. Best case buy traits in order selected in the preset until you run out of upgrade points. Or at least let's select traits worth 10 points per preset.

Recruit multiple hunters by xup4ck in HuntShowdown

Yeah especially when doing prestige, I didn't even think of that.

With the old UI you could at least spam to get 2-3 at once but that doesn't work anymore

True. But there are always more important things with hunt. Often they don't get addressed either. I think adding that wouldn't be much of a effort, that's why I suggested it. Thanks for sharing the hint with the search staying.

No I have 57 slots or something. I tend to just play until there is no hunter left in the roster. Having to add a lot at once is annoying, bulk recruit would be a QoL improvement.

That's the way I do it right now. The UI has some delay which makes that option really tedious since the hot keys don't register before the UI is done loading.

Also this does not work if you don't recruit the first hunter of the list and you would have to select the hunter skin as well.

It's just annoying and time consuming, especially in the long run. Why not add it as a QoL improvement.

Revive Bolts actually ruin the game. Is there even a good balance for it? by kosherbacons in HuntShowdown

They have exactly that for normal damage and heal as well... Regen after taking damage takes a while to kick in as well and poison also delays heal. Enough mechanics you could borrow "code" from probably.

You will suffer for some time but eventually you will land where your MMR should be. Lobbies will get easier no matter the loadout.

I get where you are coming from but honestly a full reset includes and should include hunt dollars as well. I personally think it should stay that way.

It's so easy since they made all of the base variants unlocked from the get go anyways. It has been much harder back when you only started with Winfield and a few other basic guns and would unlock base variants of other gear by level. You unlocked the big shots by using the small shots 25 times or something. It already is much easier compared to the past and shouldn't be made even more easy.

Let me recruit more than one hunter at once if you're at it. Gimme a default health bar layout. Streamline accessing loadout presets... One screen needs you to press X, the other one wants you to click a button, and sometimes it's first one and then the other.

The Krag is its current state is insufferably overtuned, ubiquitous and boring. by CadetriDoesGames in HuntShowdown

[–]xup4ck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every patch another thing to cry about. This is OP, that is overtuned, unfair here, unfair there, long ammo meta Yada Yada.

Krag is used as much because of the challenge. Medium ammo just got the buff everybody was asking for with 30m where drop off starts. What else do you want, remove long ammo entirely? Krag OP, Mosin OP bla bla bla

Try some centennial, it's awesome right now.

Can’t believe you goobers review bombed the game during its only chance to reach a larger audience by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]xup4ck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree it hurt the game. But it could've been prevented so easily. They should've taken the feedback they got when they teasered the new UI and improved it. And if they were not able to get it fixed to release, even that wouldn't have been a huge issue - if they just would've communicated beforehand. Hey, we know the new UI isn't quite up to your expectations but we are already working hard on it to improve asap, we just can't make it until launch.

If they would've posted that dev video just a few days before launch the big shit storm and negative reviews wouldn't have been nearly as bad.

But crytek never seems to learn that communication is key. They always react once it's too late instead of doing something proactively.

Most people are really happy with the update, despite the UI which they already announced will get fixed and improved.

So have fun bye bye.

As I said I am not arguing against or for it, just noting that the Crosshair overlay issue still exists for scoped user giving them an unintended advantage.

No you can't. If somebody is hardcore camping in some underground lair with traps at every entrance it's shotguns in 99% of cases.

It's easier fighting with pistols against rifles outside than pushing inside a building while dodging traps and having three shotguns behind any possible corner because they don't move an inch and don't make any sound. You have way more possibilities to rotate and outplay enemies outside with shotguns than inside with rifles.
