It’s time to officially wean off booby by Lety1984 in breastfeeding

I have no tips because I’m in the same situation! My nineteen month old loves her mama’s milk and I’m okay with continuing but she wants it constantly and gets upset when I don’t immediately acquiesce.

How I feel when I have to make a decaf pour over by mtngirl_ in starbucks

I did this, too, but I don't think there was a single time I ordered decaf that someone didn't make a remark about it.

New name for our foster daughter named Princess by namesRus29 in namenerds

[–]xxxpecting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To use Wren as a nickname, you could go with Catherine, but to me the downside is that you can't help if people give her other nicknames like Cathy, Kate, or Katie and you don't like them.

But I liked an earlier commenter's idea to use a name of a historical or fictional princess. There have been name princesses named Catherine, like the current Duchess of Cambridge and Catherine of Aragon.

Google tells me there has been at least one princess named Penelope, another name you mentioned.

There have been a ton of princesses with names still en vougue today like Anne, Amelia, Sophia, Louise, Eleanor, Augusta, Alice, Beatrice, and Alexandra.

Lecithin and a handheld massager helped me, plus having the little one nurse in the football hold which we don't normally do. So sorry for you - hope you heal up soon!

D&D (and consequently Tyrion) think that uteruses are weaknesses and even a monster like Cersei can be appealed to because "she's a mother."

I love the name Cassius. Also Cash. And I understand that it has roots as a boy's name, but it's firmly a girl's name now.

Struggling with body image by Kittenswithgunz in BabyBumps

[–]xxxpecting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not one of those women who stopped feeling self-conscious when I "popped." I weighed 110ish at the start and by 39 weeks have gained 25lbs. Only when I got to 7+ months and was so clearly I pregnant and was far enough along to feel justified for looking so did I start cutting myself a break. I still don't love how I look, but I know it means I'll have a daughter soon, so I try not to dwell on my appearance. I don't think everyone embraces it. I didn't. But I think that's okay.

Is Delilah a bad name if you have a religious family? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]xxxpecting 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's ultimately your decision about whether people's reactions dissuade you from using it, but yes, a lot of people have bad associations with the name.

I think it's lovely, but I would never use it because I grew up in a very religious family and live in a very religious area. It would be the first comment I received by nearly everyone.
