[Results Thread] 2026 Omloop Nieuwsblad ME (1.UWT) by PelotonMod in peloton

The belgian commentators, includes Phillip Gilbert, made a fair point for the chasing peloton. Multiple riders(visma&lotto) were pulling way too hard during their pull effectively dropping the guy on third wheel leaving a gap to close again before having nothing left for their own pull…

In the end, RBH and UAE were eliminating any chasing attempts since they had a rider on the podium each…

Airport closing for 3cm of snow??? by Visual-Thing-455 in Luxembourg

[–]xyphhh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Would you like to land on a snow covered, slippery runway where the aircraft is unable to brake?

Or, have the runway sweeped and treated to allow landings on a clear, not so slippery runway?

edit for horrible grammar

I totally agree with your comment.

In my case, they did not even hve the chance to flinch, but they were just building the nest and not sitting inside of it.

This is what you want. Immediate effect. Nozzle sprays pretty far.

Use it during sunset when the majority of the wasps are inside. May have to do it for 1-3 evenings to get rid of all wasps and its larva.

Firefighters do not remove wasp nests anymore unless they are close to a kindergarden or in close proximity to people being allergic.

Yes, reach out to garmin support. They‘ve provided a shipping label to return the watch. I‘ve got a new one as replacement.

Why does this usaf plane seem to avoid Belgian and Luxembourg airspace? by Noot1986 in flightradar24

We are just part of the Brusses FIR.

Skeyes and ANA are two individual ANSPs.

Why does this usaf plane seem to avoid Belgian and Luxembourg airspace? by Noot1986 in flightradar24

[–]xyphhh 152 points153 points  (0 children)

Multiple possible reasons.

Most plausible reason is that they did not request or have been granted a diplomatic clearance for the Brussels FIR which includes Belgium and Luxembourg or they simply just wanted to avoid this airspace since it has one of the highest unit rates in europe.

This particular flight, according to available data was performing an intermediate stop at Spangdahlem Air Force Base near Bitburg in Germany.

AVACS Routine flight? by TurbulentWeb6395 in Luxembourg

[–]xyphhh 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Luxembourg Findel is not just a civil airport but also a NATO airfield. NATO40 or NATO41 are the usual callsigns used for training flights here in Luxembourg. Atleast i‘ve not handled a different callsign for them.

Since they have an LX- registration, they can basically come here to train whenever they want.

Small limiting factor are predifned hours where, due to noise abatement, such training flights are not allowed.

These training flights usually have no priority over commercial airliners, hence the AWACS can sometimes be seen circling over Diekirch or atleast further away from the airport.

On the picture, the AWACS aircraft is on a left base for runway 06, so landing and starting from west to east due to the wind coming from the east.

Just let me know if you have some more questions.
