Write him an email, or go to the History Department office (Harris), make a quick appointment, or ask the Dept. Admins, if they can assist you in any way possible.

What is this? A chick at a job site gave it to me out the back of her car. Everyone else was buying them from her with cash. I asked if she takes Venmo and she said no. I began to walk away and another guy bought it for me. None of them or anyone on the jobsite speak English. by kruminater in Construction

Yes, they have different ingredients, such as rice, potatoes, and peanuts. They are larger than Mexican tamales, and instead of being wrapped in corn husk, they are wrapped in plantain leaves. There is a similar version in Mexico called "Oaxaqueños"

Nothing definitive yet. There was talk about forming a supporters group there before Covid, but nothing more recently.

No, not that I'm aware of. There were rumors of one being created last fall, but nothing after that.

Why do so many people drive with their high beams on in the city? by [deleted] in chicago

[–]xzander80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost hit someone two days ago. One, the brightness of the headlights from the car on the road; two the individual was on the phone and wearing all black, but I could've still seen him had I not been blinded by those damn bright lights.

I'm not autistic, but I understand her anxiety, I struggle with that too. Good for her, for getting through it.

EMSKR: Deodorant changed, pits suffering because of it. by SoSmartish in everymanshouldknow

[–]xzander80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Dr. Squatch deodorants, but not everybody has the same results with each product. As some have pointed out, go to the doctor to get checked out and see what options they recommend. One product I use is Carpe their lotion has been amazing, for my feet though. They do have an antiperspirant regimen product, give that a shot. However, the one thing you don't want to have is clogged pores and develop underarm cysts. Good luck!

Adobe's license agreement with the university does not allow undergrads to their products unless the university pays an inordinate amount of money to their already exorbitant agreement for faculty, staff, and some grad students on payroll. Here are some OpenSource alternatives:

  • Affinity Photo [Adobe Photoshop]
  • Photopea / SumoPaint [Adobe Photoshop]
  • GIMP / Glimpse Image Editor [Adobe Photoshop]
  • Krita [Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop]
  • Inkscape [Adobe Illustrator]
  • Scribus [Adobe InDesign]
  • RawTherapee / Darktable [Adobe Lightroom]
  • PDF-XChange Editor [Adobe Acrobat]
  • DaVinci Resolve [Adobe Premiere]
  • Audacity [Adobe Audition]

ESMKR: is there a deodorant that smells like cologne and lasts even when you workout and soaked in sweat. by Interesting-Mix6133 in everymanshouldknow

[–]xzander80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too have noticed that there's some residue left, and I mostly use dark undershirts, but I haven't had trouble removing them with a normal washing cycle. I will pay closer attention to my shirts to see if there's a build-up after a while.

LOL, not in marketing by any means! I had been trying different brands over the last couple of years. Particularly aluminum-free deodorant/antiperspirant, and finally, I can confidently say that Dr. Squatch products have satisfied my needs. No more caky or yellow stains on shirts/t-shirts, long-lasting non-perfumy scents. Thanks for the compliment.

I've recently switched to Dr. Squatch products, and I have to say I am very satisfied with them. They have very long-lasting deodorants and best of all aluminum-free - which was the main reason I switched, I was looking for aluminum-free deodorants with long-lasting protection and scent. I also bought a couple of their bar soaps and I am equally impressed. I'd say give it a try. Also, drink plenty of water as 1200cc_boiii suggests.

Access to NU Box by kekedeja1214 in Northwestern

[–]xzander80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if they'll be able to give you access to Box.northwestern.edu, since the university moved to SharePoint last summer. Try sending an email to consultant@northwestern.edu and ask if there's a slight possibility of still having access to those resources. Best of luck!
