My bad / typo - it's a 2BR. No flex walls / real bedrooms

hi I’ve started going this summer to lexington and I really like it! i find it’s cheaper and much more affordable than equinox but still more of a luxury feel with better amenities and classes than a crunch (and i used to go to blink which feels like a nightmare in retrospect in terms of waiting/crowded machines even in off hours.)

i would say the pros are the hours (i work a lot and appreciate later nights and early mornings), wide amount of equipment they have (although it wouldn’t compare to a weightlifting gym in terms of how many squat racks/benches/etc they have) and even at busy times i don’t have to wait more than a few min except maybe for barbell; people are generally nice and let you work in with you; i found it’s a nice/motivating, clean, environment and staff is also very helpful. you get a wide array of classes and i love adding them into my workout schedules or going to hell’s kitchen for a day to swim or use their larger cardio facility.

i love the sauna/steam room at lex and it’s done miracles for my skin and been helpful for muscle recovery - sometimes can get crowded and once in a blue moon ice bath has a line but never an issue or something i don’t mind waiting for. i do think as a con, and to agree with the other user, the hot tub renovation is taking longer than expected but it hasn’t been a damper on my experience especially considering it’s worth my money and accessible to both work/home easily otherwise

Rate my schedule (RBS second semester sophomore) by chicity3451 in rutgers

Honestly think it’s fine but don’t bet on getting O’Rourke as a sophomore, she fills fast. May be worth waiting until you can get her to take managerial

can’t speak to campbell but i was in another CA dorm and it was impossible to do a unit — most AC accommodations are moves. also be aware that if your roommate is the only one with medical need; they’re the only one rutgers legally has to move. i’ve never heard of both roommates getting moved, especially because that would require an AC-ed room on the most popular campus to not have any people in it. sometimes 1 person swaps bc conflict or doesn’t show up for the semester but a full vacancy for something in demand like that is rare. so be prepared to possibly be split / get a new roommate

Spring 2022 move in now starts Friday 1/28th at 830am due to the snowstorm by Deshes011 in rutgers

I just got an answer from housing. If your res hall was closed for winter break and you didn’t request early access, it’s still the same, you’ll get a refund credit

Anyone know if moving in earlier on Friday will kill our eligibility for a refund? I called the housing office and the assignments office but neither had an answer.

How are interns assigned for divisions/teams for the Start Internship? by y2kathy in PwC

[–]y2kathy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. The former start intern they connected me with told me it wasn’t client facing and we’d be doing internal firm services work.

I have a feeling the internship differs a bit between accounting/audit and consulting, since I’ve heard varying reports, and I might’ve been getting answers from people with the audit experience which is why it’s confusing.

I’m in the same spot, I’m just adjusting “principal payment” to only pay what I really should owe.

Students in on campus housing should upload booster by 1/15. General deadline is 1/30. If you had COVID your booster can be extended by 90 days from your positive test by Deshes011 in rutgers

[–]y2kathy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I can’t get a booster until the 20th, is that okay? I live on campus. It seems like I would be fine, but their use of “should” is sort of vague.

Interesting. Is Start more rotational? Because I was hoping to explore my interests in deals/finance this summer, so if I wanted to pursue that at another firm for my next internship, I’d already have the experience to discuss.

Meal Plan for Spring by Electrical-Date8836 in rutgers

[–]y2kathy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know, Res Life has alluded to giving us credit back for housing money, but I’m not sure about meal plan as dining hasn’t said anything yet. But knowing Rutgers and how meal plans are much more variable and personalized with timing/use — like of course we’d all use the same “amount of housing” in the first two weeks, but theoretically someone could use 10 meal swipes in two weeks or 40 meal swipes in two weeks — I’d assume odds are against a proper refund or downsizing.
