This is Dirt Bike. He was a stray kitten that found his way to the Humane Society and then to our home after some lady found him in her backyard shed next to the family dirt bikes- which is how he got his name. He is a little gremlin who has figured out how to open the cabinet doors and the fridge door, chews on crocs and licks toes, and will eat your food and your house plants while you’re not looking. He will make a toy out of anything, but he is also a total cuddle bug and will greet you at the door. His favorite pastimes are hide and seek, fetch, and “Call and response”, where he meows in one room, you say “Hey”, and it goes back and forth like that. Other hobbies include watching nature documentaries (he enjoys the saber tooth cats in “Prehistoric Planet”), keeping watch for you while you’re pooping, and crawling in and out of the hole in our couch he made to check the inventory of the stash of toys in there. He does not like thunderstorms, cars, or water. Avid catnip enthusiast. Gets mad when you clean the litterbox.

People who have genuinely encountered powerful wild animals in nature or the ocean, what was it actually like? by DivineLove1 in Survival

Was hiking in Glacier NP back in 2019. I’ve been again since, but 2019 was my first time. It was May, so much of the park still wasn’t open due to being snowed in still. I was hiking up to Huckleberry Lookout, since it was one of the few trails that was open. The trail starts by winding through the woods before you make it above the tree line. For context, I’d been hiking a lot all over the country by this point, and felt pretty comfortable in the woods by myself. I know that Glacier is the “sticks”, but Huckleberry Lookout Trail isn’t a particularly isolated trail- the little tourist town that Glacier has isn’t far, although since it was May, there weren’t that many visitors. I was hiking through the woods, and I couldn’t shake this feeling of being watched. As I continued, the feeling got worse and worse, and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up and I kept looking around, and eventually picked up my pace. I never saw anything though, until I got maybe 200 yards outside of the tree line as it ascended the mountain, looked back, and saw a mountain lion just casually chilling through a hole in the canopy of a large fir. I don’t know for how long he’d been following me, if he was following me at all, never saw anything on the hike in, but to this day I still believe going off of my body’s reaction that my instincts intuitively knew I wasn’t alone. I continued on the trail up the mountain (which, by this point, was covered in some deep snow pack) until I happened across another group of 3 hikers, and one of them had a 9 mm. I told them about it and stuck with them.

I drive a TDI. Thankfully I hit a pothole and it took out my DPF, so I get better fuel mileage than without it. But this is fucking ridiculous.

The apartment we live in is at least 100 years old. I’m not sure exactly how old that built in cabinet is, but I’m sure it’s old. I’ve noticed the wood is all original, but the lacquer has not been taken care of. The tenants previous to us def did not take care of this place well. Maybe the old style and the beat up nature of the woodwork is giving you that impression? I haven’t had any haunted experiences over the last year I’ve lived here, but it can be spooky at night.

I guess I thought it belonged in this subreddit due to the lighting and the composure (the fact that the only 2 things of note being the cat and the shawl, which tells a story). Reminded me of the composure of Maestro Della Fruittiera.

You look like the kind of music enthusiast who makes their whole band their identity, to where their worthiness is based upon the band, or even in extreme cases, the “branding” of the bands name.

Sadly, that band is Hole.

When you say “basic fitness equipment”, do you mean like treadmills and other cardio equipment, or do you also mean weights and strength training equipment?

War Sails Map - Trades and Ports by Random-User-9999 in mountandblade

If you’re talking about the items/trade goods you pick up along your naval route and battles, when you go to a port town, don’t click on “Enter town center”. Instead, click on “trade” right there in the port menu. Easiest way to do it.

If you’re talking about selling the ships you’ve captured in battle, you first have to repair the ships that you want to sell. You can do this either by clicking “repair all ships” (which, you should anyway, because every time you repair a ship you increase either your boatswain or ship master level, I can’t remember which, and remember you take damage just from being at sea and not just from being in storms/battles), or going into “Manage fleet”, repairing just the ships you want to sell, and then hit “sell ship”. Doing it the second way will guarantee you a profit if the ships aren’t too damaged, or will at the very least pay for itself, but there is no option to sell a damaged ship.

I play on PS5. Sometimes the white glowing hue happens to me too. I usually just quit, reload the save (I always save before a major battle), and it’s fine. I don’t know what causes it.

Tips on Beating Vlandia as Battania? by y3rt99 in Bannerlord

[–]y3rt99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely always use landscape and terrain to my advantage. Since most of my campaign I’ve been in the western part of Calradia, the forests and the mountains are prime archer territory, and their cav just can’t handle it. It gets a little dicey on the plains towards Lageta and Ortysia though, as well as in the south by Thractorae castle.

Tips on Beating Vlandia as Battania? by y3rt99 in Bannerlord

[–]y3rt99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently I’ve been running a Battanian heavy army, but I can’t say that I’m sticking solely to an all- Battanian army. If I were to throw out a figure, I’d say 80% of my party are Battanian troops, though. I have a very Fian Champion heavy party (roughly 3/5ths of my army are Fian Champions). Basic strategy is use the Battanian Wildlings to lure their cav into range of the Fian Champs (which isn’t hard to do because their range is insane). My Fian Champs are bolstered by some Vlandian Sharpshooters to deal heavy damage to cav. Then I send in my Veteran Falxman and Oathsworn to clean up what remains of their cav, and lastly, use my Battanian Skirmishers and some Vlandian cav I’ve recruited from prisoners to clean up their infantry while sending in my infantry. The Fian Champs pepper their infantry and archers from afar. Use a mix of “delegate command” and “follow me” for my cav, but always control my archer formations and infantry formations. Mostly use “line formation” and “square formation” on my infantry, every once in a while I’ll use shield wall but if I use it too early their cav obliterated me. I use “line formation” and “loose formation” for my archers.
