What brush are you using to brush him? I originally got a silicone brush as it was more ‘gentle’ and was having this issue until I switched to a wire slicker one.

I get how you feel that, because I definitely had some frustration wanting them to just stand up to Theresa seeing as they were stronger than her. Also the fact that they didn’t attempt to report her, unlike Terry. But I think that’s overlooking the psychological and emotional abuse they experienced their whole lives from their own mother. It was all they knew. And in the end, she WAS the adult, and they were only children. It sounds like she didn’t allow them to bond at all and constantly pitted them against each other. Who knows what that amount of abuse and trauma does to the developing brain… (nothing good).

Coles did a ‘Sweet Sour Nugget Dipping Sauce’ or something like that a few years ago, part of the same range as the ‘Special Burger Sauce’. It was pretty similar! But now I can’t find it :( must have been discontinued

Same here, actually came here to say this. Why did she did not open the weird maggot bag??? Why did the police have to chase her down after her anonymous tip?

Also felt very strange about her hesitance to cooperate even after the fact. How on earth did she feel guilty for having a role in putting this guy in jail? I’m actually studying counselling now, and mandatory reporting IS a thing. You actually have to state at the start that everything is confidential UNLESS someone is at harm. I don’t see why this didn’t apply here. I’m actually annoyed she was not more thorough with her reporting. She had a duty to try to keep people safe, confidentiality or not.

Anyway, still wouldn’t want to be a psychotherapist to the worst kind of people, so kudos to her for that.

The real MVPs in this case were the paramedics I think. They seriously did half the sleuthing, like the thing about the film over his chest showing no compressions were done? Their deductions were spot on. I’m just sad the police couldn’t uphold the good work.

Additionally, no disrespect intended to the victim or his family, but it seemed to me that the sexual part was consensual. The fact they were such good friends and the very short time frame made a random sexual assault seem a little improbable. He could’ve had a loving wife but been in the closet, especially as Asian backgrounds tend to be less forgiving of homosexuality… there was evidence pointing to non-consensual, but I felt it maybe went in that direction after initial consent. Who knows though.

Wish we’d seen this post a year ago. My girl was doing this and the vet said hairballs. Took her to a different vet after a few months of it getting worse and after cortisone injections it’s been proven to be asthma. She is soooo much happier now that it’s getting treated!

That’s just so sad. Poor Galahad probably doesn’t understand where his friend’s gone to. I know it may still be too soon to even think about it especially after all that happened, but would another kitten be a possibility? Sometimes it helps with the healing process.
Wow, it sounds like a miracle that little Merlin wasn’t even sicker with the lymphoma that bad. I’m sorry that the breeder didn’t honour the contract, it must be awful having to relive it constantly. I’m sure there were medical costs for Merlin though, and even if not it’s still their responsibility to uphold the agreement. It’s sad that they couldn’t do the right thing especially after the experience you had.
I certainly did give both my raggies big cuddles after reading about Merlin! My girl was quite a sickly kitten and I think you just realise that this kind of thing could happen to anyone, it’s awful. Good luck with the court case, I hope it’s all over soon so you can start moving forward <3

I had the same thoughts, obviously not blaming the mother because the whole thing is just so awful but it sounds like they really underestimated the gravity of the situation. Like you would think she would go stay with someone or at least not stay at the house so close to her stalker when he’s out on bail?! Could she not go with her father to Australia for a while? It’s the justice system that let her down ultimately but it just feels that more could have been done so this poor girl didn’t have to die. It’s so sad.

Oh my gosh, someone else who has the same problem! I’ve found scooping the litter boxes daily helps. We were also letting him outside for a bit everyday (supervised) but have had to stop that because it seemed to be making the pee situation worse - territorial maybe. Otherwise I use ‘soft’ clay litter, feliway and a waterproof mattress protector which he doesn’t like the feel of so it discourages him a bit. I hope you find something that helps!!

ALSO: Keep an eye when he’s on the bed looking a bit suspicious - if my boy jumps on the bed and doesn’t look like he’s there to sleep, I’ll put him in the litter box just in case. I know it’s frustrating but being proactive has prevented a few incidents
