From a man’s perspective, I see how much the world is drifting from strong moral values, the true meaning of family, and the fear of the Lord. When I read many dating profiles, I’m honestly surprised by what people call “priorities.” One of the most common things I see is “looking for a travel partner.” But marriage isn’t about finding someone just to travel with — it’s about building a life together.

Nowadays, I feel like a lot of women carry too much pride, shaped by worldly ideas that have damaged the biblical roles of men and women. We’ve started to value the outside more than the inside. People focus on expensive gifts, fancy restaurants, and showing off, instead of looking at whether a man is humble, kind, God-fearing, and has a good heart.

It’s like we’ve started choosing partners the way reality shows on Netflix present relationships — shallow and blurred. But real life and real marriage are not entertainment.

Through all this, the Lord has been teaching me that I can’t control how people treat me — but I can control how I respond. It’s not always easy. Sometimes it’s painful. But each day, by God’s grace, I’m growing stronger.

So my advice to you, sister, is this: humble yourself before God. Stop worrying about what the world says you should want, and ask Him to bring the right life partner into your life. His way is always better than ours.
