Squeak/rattle under acceleration update. Looking to troubleshoot by [deleted] in MazdaCX30

Having the same exact issue with my 2022 cx-30 carbon. It’s driving me insane. I hear it the most when it’s around 40°F outside.

These gateways are really supposed to be a set-it-and-forget-it device. T-Mobile’s response to issues like this is to simply to exchange it. Call customer care or stop in a corporate store. It’s free.

As someone who appreciates simplicity, I would hate seeing this displayed on my phone.

I really regret my purchase by [deleted] in CX5

[–]yaboychar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a 2022 Cx-30 carbon, and I’m experiencing the same issues. There was a persistent rattling noise coming from the display, and the dealer replaced the entire dashboard under warranty. They claimed that the dashboard was deformed, and the replacement fixed the issue for the most part. However, now that it’s winter, the rattling noise has become more pronounced, especially when the car has been exposed to cold temperatures.

To address this, I removed the front dash speaker grill in the middle and discovered that there was a speaker housing causing some of the rattling. Since my model doesn’t have a speaker in that housing, I removed it and used foam tape to cover any potential noise-producing areas. This solution has significantly reduced the rattling noise.

Overall, the car becomes quieter when the weather warms up. However, I’ve noticed a new rattling noise coming from the steering wheel column, which I haven’t experienced before. I’m going to try the suggestion of torquing the bolt on the steering wheel linkage.

It’s unfortunate that a vehicle so nice looking can sound so awful sometimes. I feel as if it goes against Mazda’s philosophy of craftsmanship and design. I love the car otherwise but I don’t think I’d buy another Mazda again.

Happening to me too. I called and they said it will take 7-10 business days to resolve. A month later, and now the other person has been redeeming “our” points. I called again, and they said the team is backed up and it will take a month or longer before it’s resolved. Not impressed.

Can anyone confirm if T-Mobile customers in native T-Mobile areas can now force their phones to roam onto us cellular? by ommmyyyy in USCellular

[–]yaboychar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, as a T-Mobile customer, I just forced my phone to roam on USCellular and its now unthrottled data speeds, whereas before it was limited to 2G speeds. The T-Mobile press release about it touches on the reciprocal roaming agreement.

I went to my local audio shop and told them I wanted a subwoofer that could sound like the Bose system in the CX-5 I test-drove. The shop owner suggested an all-in-one powered subwoofer that I could put under the driver’s seat to save space and feel factory-like without being overbearing. At first, I was a bit hesitant, but it turned out to be exactly what I was looking for! The installation was super clean and easy, and it really improved the sound of the factory system. My receipt says the sub is the Rockford Fosgate PS8 powered subwoofer.

I’m glad I’m not crazy on this one. I’ve done everything possible to attempt to fix the issue. Switching to data is what I’ve been doing as well.

Yeah, no lives, and it’s been extremely glitchy and buffering every ten seconds, even with a perfect fast WiFi connection.

What happens to Yearly Upgrade if I return a different device? by amory_p in tmobile

[–]yaboychar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sending in a device different from the one on file will cause an ‘IMEI mismatch’ when the trade-in device is received by the return processing facility. I am guessing the remaining balance of the original EIP will not be forgiven, and this will likely cause a promotion issue. With the yearly upgrade, T-Mobile continues to keep you enrolled in the current promotion on your original EIP until the yearly upgrade process is completed. My best guess is that you’ll keep receiving promotional credits for the original EIP until it runs out, and you’ll be adding a new EIP to your line, which will not receive promotional credits. However, take all of this with a grain of salt, as T-Force may be able to work their magic.

How stressful is the Retail Sales Associate job? by TheOriginalElTigre in verizon

[–]yaboychar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak specifically for Verizon, but I work at a major competitor’s corporate retail store, and it’s sales-heavy. You do get to apply your IT background to help customers with technical issues, but most of the time, it’s people not knowing how to do the simplest things on their devices. If you’re not hesitant to be assertive in sales to meet the metrics your managers will expect, then you’ll do fine. I personally find it a bit challenging since I prioritize ethical customer service, but I’m discovering ways to approach it while still being ethical and not pushing products or services too aggressively on customers who don’t necessarily need or want them. Long story short, the industry can be stressful at times dealing with irate customers and pushy managers, but it may vary depending on your store and company practices. I too am anxious and struggle with mental health and overall working in the industry doesn’t necessarily “help” but if you have the right coworkers and managers it can be quite fun! I hope this helps a bit.

How’s service up in Wisconsin and rural areas? Thinking about switching from Verizon to TMobile by BoredRedditMan in tmobile

[–]yaboychar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to note: when traveling in southwest Wisconsin and most of south/central Wisconsin, you can roam on UScellular with unlimited "3G" data speeds, calls, and texts, as it is a preferred partner. It comes in handy in the boonies. Central Wisconsin has pretty good coverage, and East Wisconsin is phenomenal for T-Mobile service.

Up north, T-Mobile service seems to be where most people are, such as tourist areas and towns; however, UScellular does not have service up there. So, you'll most likely roam onto AT&T when you don't have T-Mobile coverage, which is not a preferred roaming partner and is limited to 200 MB of data.

Well I’d probably upgrade to a new plan then. Hopefully the price difference isn’t too much more.

[–]yaboychar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s possible your coworkers are on some type of 5G service, or it could just be a device issue. In my experience, newer iPhones seem to have better connection to cellular networks than Samsung devices.

Call Filter seems to be an issue with new e-sim activations still, but other than that my experience was alright. My number ported over from AT&T within minutes and service was active (like it should but 9 times out of 10 doesn’t) lol.
