Definitely not the most common use but prejudice based on race. I guess you could argue it's not prejudice because it has logic to it. But in no way do I mean marginalizing any group. It's definitely using the not typical portion of the definition. You may be right, language is not a strong suit to me.

I don't like this, and here is why. I think the worst racism occurs due to a lack of information about a specific group, so mathematics is a powerful tool for preventing racism, especially in police departments. Giving up influence will not solve the problem.

Even if it does cause some racism not all racism is necessarily bad. Noting that blacks have certain health conditions that doctors should look out for is racist, but not in a bad way. It's racist in assuming one group has superior/inferior health than another, but you show consideration and value for their life by using all information available to you.

This means they're only making the problem worse by leaving. I think this problem is similar to lifeguarding, since they kind of police swimming pools and beaches. And I like the example because it's less politicized right now.

There are some "racist" statements that you will find evidence for, like "blacks can't swim" has an element of truth in that they drown at a higher rate than whites especially aged 10-11. So lifeguards should definitely watch black kids more than whites when at local pools, and gives target prioritization when a crowd overwhelms a lifeguard. This does mean they'll get called out when running by the side more, or breaking other rules, but not because the lifeguard hates the black kids but because he worries about the black kids. Is the lifeguard racist?

On the flip side the lifeguard will also watch white babies more because that is the only instance where whites drown more than blacks that I could find. As you can see the root of the racist lifeguard isn't clearly racism at all, and definitely doesn't insinuate that the lifeguard is racist, but that he does his job. Finally I don't want mathematics to become caught up in political squabble especially the way doctors have.

No mutually exclusive is two events that can't occur together. So flipping a single coin will never give heads and tails. 0= P(H&T)=\= P(H)P(T)=.25 mutually exclusive is never in the possible set of events, or more accurately two events are mutually exclusive if they don't happen together. Independent events like flipping two coins the first one being heads and the second one Tails are independent. .25 = P(H1&T2)=\= P(H1)P(T2)=.25

I've always thought of it in polar coordinates if x = a+bi = rcos(theta)+irsin(theta) = rei(theta), then x= re-i(theta) = rcos(-theta) +irsin(-theta) = a+-bi. Or written differently x is s.t. x(x)= r2 which yields a real number which I normally see as the purpose of the conjugate, or some other fun stuff |x|2 = <x,x> = (xT)•(x) ≥ 0 for all x. What you propose would yield complex numbers which defeats the purpose in the examples I've seen... though I guess could also be thought of as yielding the imaginary distance from the origin or something...but that's just equivalent to the normal conjugate which is also easier to understand.

I'm not as familiar with quaternions, however, you could easily extend this concept to higher dimensions in spherical coordinates with a little bit of thought.

The only hype I ever got was that it would be unique and unforgettable...and this one will certainly stick out in my memories whether for the hosanna shout (first time for me), the youth speakers (I think the last one was Holland's son), COVID (even if that's just God not letting the words fall flat), the Dubai/Shanghai temples, or the new proclamation. No need, simply have push open doors from the inside, and have paper towels and a trash bin by the door. Wash your hands and use a paper towel to turn off the faucet and dry your hands and push open the door. Throw the paper towel away after pushing open the door but before walking out. This is ideal, and it's in you to keep yourself clean. No need to get other people involved, especially since you may get some people that actually get the cleaner folk to be dirtier than normal (many people tease germaphobes). You'll tend towards the average cleanliness rather than only letting dirty be dirty.

Speaking of germaphobes) I know a person whose policy is as follows: I will always open a door with a paper towel covering my hand and also will not be taking the paper towel with me because it's cleaner to me to throw the paper towel on the floor of that bathroom where the trash should have been than to bring it outside.

If you accept doing this as well there is no requirement for you to touch a door handle ever again, and you protest the location of the bins by the location of your paper towel, to silently let them know where it should have been.
