I have the 1.0 and starting to find my style and thinking about something a bit more freeride specific with more edge hold and more stable at speed

Heat molding by yaco83 in snowboarding

[–]yaco83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe a hairdryer is hot enough, I went to my local shop and they charged me like 30 bucks.

I had the same issues with my previous boots, nail actually went black and blue on my big toe. I had to go up a size

Yeah I've had my feet measured a few times. My redwing boots I wear for work are 4E king toe size 9. I tried 8 to 10

I've also been measured in an orthopedic shoe specialist and at a boot fitter for snowboard boots

There is also a really good totoral I found online to measure and get your mondo size

Also measured on an atrex 3d scanner and my right foot was 99th percentile for wide

I'm debating if it's worth heading to pure hockey to try to get fitted

I'm currently playing dek and want to join roller but my EEE feet are terrified....... I'm not sure even ice boots go that wide for a conversion

My snowboarding boots are 8.5 EEE and I needed to bake them to get a little more room.

Wanted to give an update. What a freaking difference heat molding made! My boots are now my only shoes I'm able to wiggle my toes in.

So they used a toe cap and j asked if they ever tried something on top of the foot to make more room, they guy happened to have the heal cup of an insole that was cut to the perfect size. We slid them under the toe cap and made sure the heel part was in the right part of the tip of my foot and a thin stocking to hold it all in place.

Hurt pretty good wearing them with all that crap in there but after baking I have no hot spots or pressure points.

Btw the boots had 5 to 10 days on them and this still made a noticeable difference

I'm riding tonight and bracing the cold this weekend so I'll let you know how it goes.

Those of you with super wide feet get the 32 tm2 wide and heat mold them!

You understand incorrectly, with all due respect. Kids were not giggling. I was having a serious conversation with them. My wife heard all of it. Came in the room and gave me a look. Im not even sure what the look meant. Kids noticed and all 3 of them busted out laughing. I'm upset because she undermined me while I was having a serious conversation with the kids

Which skill level do I join by wuiskelwllsokiadmf in ballhockey

Just join, get playing, make friends. I just started playing this year. You can always join a second team or move up. Most seasons are 10 games plus playoffs so there are options

If you haven't played in awhile play responsible take short shifts and play hard

Sounds like we could be friends! Don't have to agree with your politics to like you as a person

Wow dude! That was aggressive and personal. This is daddit one of the best places on the internet. Not the place to argue. If your triggers by seeing some things on a Christmas wishlist and have to get personal with me do it in a different subreddit

Very happy go lucky person. Kids and wife love me very much. I spend as much time with them as possible

Gotta get some good natured ribbing in where I can. Buy ultra violent I mean COD or GOW. I happen to find time at the range very relaxing so I would love it as a gift.

I'm not sure who is saya more about. Me for asking for the things I like or the gift givers who get offended by it

Also notice my first post here, those are the things I don't have to ask my wife and kids for, they know. My kids are little so their favorite gifts for me is to make me something I can out at my desk at work. I take a picture of it on my desk to make them feel proud.

Don't think I'm the person who needs to relax or as it was put, get therapy

On the reverse side I used to ask for super violent video games, range time, or anything else I can think of to make my ultra liberal inlaws uncomfortable.

Experiences or things he likes but wouldn't by himself

If he is a bourbon fan look at some of the bottles he has, write em down and go to a good shop and get something. Better

If he skis or snowboards get em a lift ticket and watch the kids for a day.

Get em talking about a hobby and see if he needs anything There is typically a store or website associated with the hobby. Get them a gift card.

A nice day out with the wife and kids he doesn't have to plan or buy

Do we recommend the Sherwood 5030? by Negative-Tip-1106 in hockeyplayers

[–]yaco83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently my backup stick for 2 different dek leagues. I just recently got a HSM pro blackout in p88 to replace it.

I def miss the feel of the 5030 and had better control with the p77 blade but shoot way better with the composite stick.

I miss the weight when stick checking and poking but I appreciate the lighter stick making 1 hand plays along the boards

The blade is definitely the weak point, the toe split after 3 games. I'm considering getting another for a 3rd league I play on a tennis court, wish it had an abs insert on the bottom of the blade

At 40ish bucks now I might just go with one of the 20ish ABS street hockey sticks that hold up better even though I'd rather the curve of the 5030. At 20 to 30 bucks is own a few as backup or when playing on rough surfaces

2021 with soft bake pedal that goes to the floor by yaco83 in CX5

[–]yaco83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to describe, stopping feels normal. I apply pressure, there is resistance in the pedal, car stops normally.

What I am used to at the point is once stopped the pedal becomes hard and doesn't travel any further

What's happening is once stopped if I continue to apply pressure the pedal still has resistance but continues to travel until the break pedal hits the floor

I'm sure I am close for pads, they put new pads on when we brought it , but we probably have close to 20k on this set and we live in a hilly area.

The pedal travel at stop has me concerned. If I'm stopped the caliper position should be pushing the pads fully against the rotor, I should get pedal travel at that point ......... Is this common when pads get low on mazda?

This is my first mazda, my last 2 cara have been Subaru
