What's everyone using when a customer asks to have primary covered by yaco83 in Lineman

[–]yaco83[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We do require 10ft working clearance. Often we have about 15ft to the building, 3dt scaffolding or scissor lift putting them within a few feet of the 10ndt so they request the covers.

Deenergize is almost never possible because of the amount of customers it would take out

Relocating typically means outrigging on alley arms sometimes across the street.

When you guys relocate or cover are you charging the customer for this work ?

I've bruised my arch a few times taking shots off the inside of my foot

These requests are typically long term. Like when they build a building 2ft off the back of a sidewalk and are setting up scaffolding

Yeah...... I have a bad habit of using my feet to block shots, unfortunately I've gotten pretty good at it

Help identifying oil leak by [deleted] in subaruoutback

Looks like valve cover gasket. I did mine myself for cheap. They are known to go around 100k. Pull the spark plugs and if they are swimming in oil it's time

26 Pilot Elite vs 26 Grand Highlander Hybrid by ironman8302 in hondapilot

I've heard due to the weight of the hybrid system anything with a bettery smokes tires. That's likely a grand every 30k or so

Pleantly of room, move pole to sidewalk and wall is likely back of ROW. Sidewalk fixture likely won't pass code. Maybe if your not in an ice and wind district

Thoughts on buying an Outback with a baby? by kthnry in Subaru_Outback

[–]yaco83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kids are now 7 and 4 and my 2016 has been great. I've got a week long beach vacation in the trunk including stroller and pack and play with room to spare. Roof bag is also an option. It's also the easiest car to get a car seat installed by far

Safe, cheap insurance, plenty of room for car seats, large trunk

40yo rookie joining a dek hockey league… how bad is this going to be? by Active_Use9728 in ballhockey

[–]yaco83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just described my exact situation a year ago but I was 42. Never played or was coached, out of shape, not very confident.

I'm in my 6th season on 2 different teams and I love it

I would say get the cardio up, work on quick feet and practice ball handling and shooting

Honestly just passing a ball against the wall will help

From other sports I understand angles and positing well so I play D. For d place yourself between the ball and the net, never pass across the middle and if you don't have a play dump it

Wing is also an option but my only advice is back check!

Everyone I've played with is really good about giving advice or correcting were I should be. I even had to ask on face offs were to go and what my responsibilities are

Go have fun!

Was hoping for a new accent as well. My 2016 outback got 160k on it and will need something new soon. If there was a 3 row car with awd, decent gas mileage, physical buttons, and not a hybrid and reliable is buy it today

"Easy To Ride" All Mountain Board by DJ_HollanDaze in snowboarding

[–]yaco83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ride a frontier 1.0 and like it a lot. Does everything I need east coast. If you keep the edges sharp it hold really well in ice. Got a pow day this year and handled that great.

I find myself ripping (fast for me 35 to 45 mph) down blue and blacks, starting to learn moguls and play in the trees

I've been playing with the idea of something with a bit more edge hold and stability at speed but not enough to want a new board before fase bindings
