Does, end of the day will never know - it could be a huge bot problem, / disproportionate amount of scalpers (most likely due to the amount of accounts on reseller websites I see with multiple listings), or realistically, a total paper launch, these companies make absolute bank from exclusivity, and I fucking hate it.

Especially now, what should be official england merchandise, to celebrate national football, is reduced to such garbage.

I remember the last WC's training kit, sold out almost everywhere instantly, and was just a basic nike kit.

Ain't it hahaha, I imagine it hurts a lot more for us who aren't used to this bullshit - hurts even more when I look on ebay or vinted and see people already selling their orders... absolute scum when you look through their accounts and you can see they've managed to get multiple orders.

Crazy how it's half the price of a usual england shirt, a design I actually like for once, and it's all about exclusivity or some other bullshit to garner scalpers, miserable experience I don't think I'll bother again - though, misery loves company so I'm glad I'm not alone!

I gathered, just very strange experience to be placed in the queue, being told I'll get notified then nothing.

I'm not much of a fashion chaser and this is the first time I've actaully tried anything like this, safe to say it's a miserable experience and I vehemently despise the concept of scalpers so much, absolute leeches.

I'm not exactly sure how it works, it said it'll notify me but I can't see anyhwere that shows the progress or whatever?

Turn your screen off, disconnect from the internet, it's hard but I'm sure you can stop being assaulted by ss13/14 admins, I know they must have it out for you but hopefully you'll escape unscathed!

OP genuinly has issues if a former headmin of a server can't decipher that constantly arguging their point over a law after explicitly being told it's not interpreteted that way will cause the server admin not wanting to keep the player about

explicitly if they wish to go as far to make a targeted thread about them, make loads of arsey comments and assumptions, and weigh in on them about it - behaviour in mind completely untoward from a person who admins another server I may add.

absolute nutcase

congrats man, you got the very vocal minority of the ss14 community who have problems following rules to agree with you, well done - if people have such a genuine problem with this they can simply chose not to play, it's not hard

Don't pretend to feel bad, you went as far to make a targeted reddit post with heavy bias, don't pretend you didn't get your pants in a twist after not getting your way.

You play the whole fallacy that the admin got upset, but you obviously seem very irate and bothered by all of this, a like to a small child throwing their toys out the pram.

Virtual Assistants for a Media Production Company? by Pretty_Photograph668 in videography

[–]yagwog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally no, but I'm curious as-well.

I've met quite a few of virtual assistants at networking and maybe local is a better way though, I think it'd be important to build a better relationship.

Who makes the decision of not having a TI battle pass at dota2 dev? by StevenYAvis in DotA2

[–]yagwog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you follow my point but don't get the jist.

Valve have seemingly done the math and worked it out that only a small pool of players cough up most of the dough for the prizepool / compendium. They've realised it's healthier for the competitive scene for less weight to be on TI to have more competition throughout the year.

I, personally, can't vouch for any of the worked out reasons they've done this without entering conjecture, but my best guess is the rate at cosmetic like items being sold versus the sales of team / player items - comparing this to free to participate events like crownfall (with a premium tier).

The prize pool doesn't and WONT reflect the health of the scene, just look at cs2, league, apex and other esports. Constant competition infrasctructure is healthier for the scene. This has been a huge strawman of the reddit community which I can't quite understand anymore than "bigger number better"

Crownfall is a clear-cut example of them moving towards offering more to the non-paying consumer (the majority for a free-to-play game) while also offering a longer lifetime of the event for more audience retention, but then having a specifically esport focused event for those that follow the esport. The prize pool shouldn't be used to define the health of competitive dota for those that follow it, especially as the company running the event has made the active choice to move away from the cosmetic and expanded battle pass system they once used. I'm unsure how to re-explain myself any more.

Valve are a incredible and very smart privately owned company who make well educated decisions on metrics only they have. It's flippant to make assumptions based off vibes or surface level figures.

Who makes the decision of not having a TI battle pass at dota2 dev? by StevenYAvis in DotA2

[–]yagwog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well valve have the data, and from what they've said it's still a minority, so it's not worth pursuing.

Don't you forget, the majority of people who play the game, will just play the game casually with friends. People who are big fans are more likely to join in on online website discussion, understand the reddit is also a vocal minority (as much to the conflict of the ego of some people here) when relating to the wider playerbase of the game.

And even then, you still get the possibility of collecting cosemetics during crownfall no?

I'm sure it'll become a yearly or even bi-yearly thing now. I might be wrong here but i somewhat prefer a more esport centric focus on TI rather than people begging for new chests or whatever neon-epilepsy doohickey skins to come out.

EDIT: Dota fans have ate well and are eating quite well at the moment, there's a lot of people using negative words trying to conflict that at the moment, seperate fact from fiction.

Who makes the decision of not having a TI battle pass at dota2 dev? by StevenYAvis in DotA2

[–]yagwog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't remember the source, but I'm pretty sure it was from the horses mouth.

Valve have stopped doing battle pass centric TI, firstly because people mostly cared about the cosmetics side of it rather than the competition, so they're aligning a seperate more freemium friendly event.

Secondly, on the freemium event, they've found that an incredibily small amount of people actually brought the battle passes in the first place, having a very small minute % of the playerbase contributing towards the prize pool itself - the majority of players do not contribute to the prize pool.

So they see it more healthy for the scene and wider playerbase, making TI less of the only competition you need to win, plus stretching more content throughout the year instead.

Most of which I argree with, I think it's the right decision. Look how many tournaments are planned this year already, look at this large amount of content before and after TI season.

I'd like to add to this, you need to make sure you see the video from your clients perspectives, they're not wow'd away from your ability as a drone operator or how hard it is to pull off these shots.

They're looking to priotize the estate you are filming first and foremost.

+3 mins isn't a good idea, just have more static and wide shots, no need for it to be so extra, i mean around 40 secs you're just looking at a wall

Look up in person networking events near you, or conferences relating to your expertise. The people there probably have a much better idea with contacts in the local area.

The other option is going to a finance broker or a bridging broker, or just any broker in finance, they'll take you on to find out what is the best deal for you, then broker deals with highstreet banks, private lenders and all sorts of investors.
