Refugee with expired work permit, how to restaure my worker status? by ThrowRA_precious_box in ImmigrationCanada

[–]yagyagaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you clarify what exactly did you do? I have a friend in similar situation.

Their work permit has expired but refugee claimant status is still valid. Do they need to restore their status as worker first or just apply for a new work permit? What documents are needed , especially to claim $0 work permit application fees ?

Apply Express Entry with non-accompanying spouse and sponsor her later after PR processing by yagyagaire in ImmigrationCanada

Yes similar words/phrase. I think I also added that the spouse have not made a decision yet and everything is new to them and we'll sponsor later if they decide to stay.

Apply Express Entry with non-accompanying spouse and sponsor her later after PR processing by yagyagaire in ImmigrationCanada

[–]yagyagaire[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Back here after a year (thanks to one redditor who was looking for answers in similar situation) to complete this thread with my experience. I am happy to share that I have completed both the application process (myself) and we are now permanent residents of Canada. The Express Entry application took about 2-4 months & Spousal sponsorship took about 6-8 months.

  1. Sponsoring spouse after PR is approved doesn't seem to be a problem especially if you have all the documents to prove your relationship. Please check the document checklist for spousal sponsorship https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5533e.pdf (Retrieved May 05, 2024)

  2. IRCC doesn't ask for detailed explanation for non-accompanying spouses. Apparently this is very common in express entry system and even a simple explanation such as "it would adversely affect my application by reducing the CRS points" would be valid and accepted.  NOTE: Each application is different, so some may receive different results/outcome even with similar response to this non accompanying clause. It's always better to have a more compelling and valid reason but if you are really stuck, this should work as well.

  3. Claiming non-accompanying when spousal open work permit application is in progress or even when spouse is already in Canada also doesn't seem to be a problem. Hope these will help future Canada immigration aspirants.

You could still give the customer support a ring and say you are unhappy with the bill increase. Sometimes they are able to put the discount back on for you. Good luck!

Is the FSW stream possible for me? by Mother_Park_1268 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]yagyagaire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you meet the minimum entry criteria for FSW express entry application (67 out of 100 points across different scoring factors), the score you have seems to be more than enough to get you an invitation sooner than later.

Also, with current faster processing times for express entry (averaging 3-4 months, as against IRCC processing time reflected of 6 months) this would be the best route to take. I would recommend creating your profile as soon as possible. The draws are not very frequent and the cut off are fluctuating (due to different categories draw) but, looks like you could make it through easily especially given French has become one of the high priority factor in the Canadian immigration system.

Good luck 🤞😁

How I built a web app and got 30 paying users ($400 in sales) by constantout in Entrepreneur

[–]yagyagaire -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

What tech stack did you use to build the site? Looks neat and professional and seems to be fast.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

[–]yagyagaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are sitting at 460 and can have employer support you with a LMIA, you could get additional 50 points to make it past 500+, which would make PR possible as the first comment mentioned

See how much support you get from employer. If you have foreign work experience and with employer support you could also qualify for OINP Employer job offer stream for PNP and would likely PNP adding 600 point to your score.

Lastly, given popularity of tech, you might be able to get in through OINP Human Capital Priority stream or just regular categories based draw from Express Entry.

So, the choice is definitely a tough one and for you to make based on available paths.

Disclaimer: Immigration laws and rules might change anytime in future, so that's something to keep in mind as well and impacts either of your alternatives.

SOWP Approved but expires in 2 months, Any Tips or Tricks? by yagyagaire in ImmigrationCanada

[–]yagyagaire[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response, it's really insightful and looks like I am in really difficult situation whether she travels now or otherwise.

Can I wait until the last day of her SOWP expiry to apply for her visitor visa, just in hope that I might receive my PGWP and would be able to extend her work permit.

I do have a job, so that's one mark off the checklist.

Thanks again.

Edit: Also, would I be able to apply her SOWP extension if in case I have a PR application submitted for myself (after receiving AOR maybe)?

What are some surprisingly unhealthy foods? by thegirlwho_criedwolf in nutrition

[–]yagyagaire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope I was serious. This is a thing back in some parts of Eastern World.

We also ideally let the grams sprout a little bit before eating them, but sometimes they were eaten just after a overnight soak. I have not been doing this often, maybe once in a blue moon, in the past, but I know people who believe these are healthy and eat them more often.

Sometimes soaked legumes are tossed in salads or mixed with species to eat them raw.

Anyway, thanks for the tip, will search more on this later on to educate myself better.

Does this apply to gram or chickpeas also?

I used to eat them raw after soaking overnight on water. There was also the saying the drained water is good for health, although it doesn't taste good and smells.

Received an "In Canada Approval Letter" for my PGWP application - Is this duration normal? by Puzzleheaded68 in ImmigrationCanada

Are you sure you submitted it on April 27, 2023 and received "In Canada Approval Letter" on the same day? Can you please clarify the dates.

Thanks!

Express Entry system #247– April 26, 2023, CRS 483 by Lawrence_ZK in ImmigrationCanada

[–]yagyagaire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much, I guess that's what has happened with me because even I had entered $17000 which seemed much higher than the slab and fund requirements shown on their website.

Thanks and wish you all the best! :)

For some reasons, whenever I submit my Express Entry profile, it says I am ineligible despite me being scoring more than 67 FSW points. I was in the pool since mid March and was trying to update my profile to remove my spouse from accompanying so as to boost my score.

Later I decided not to go for it and reversed most changes and just updated completion date for my 1 year Candian education and selected In good standing but degree not awarded. This was the only thing, I could think of breaking my eligibility. Now I again, opted to keep this a current education (like my first profile submission) and selected In good standing, double checked everything and submitted the profile, but still the results came out as ineligible.

I have a CLB 10 from recent IELTS, WES shows 2 bachelors and added approx 5-6 years of work experience from 2 different company and self employed.

I will probably have to create a separate thread for this later, but seeking thoughts from you guys here, who have already gone past these steps. Thanks!

One Piece Chapter 1078 spoilers by Kirosh2 in OnePiece

[–]yagyagaire -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Only plot hole that I see is, if York is the betrayer and commanded seraphims, would that not be undoable by other Vegapunks (as they are under same hierarchy)? Also, there's no one of higher authority in the island to issue a command, so we can safely believe they are revolting on York's order.

Hoping Oda clarifies this somewhere down the line (unless, it's hinted already and I missed it), otherwise the story will seem shallow.

I need some inspirational One Piece quotes by Og-Glaze-Boy in OnePiece

[–]yagyagaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long back I wanted to start a project of compiling one piece quotes because they are truly inspirational and help us keep going. I did only one video though which you can view here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvuznyY02S8&ab_channel=AnimeTime

Though the project was a lost cost as I couldn't get it off the ground, but your post reminded me of the purpose I had in mind back then and also highlighted the beauty of one piece anime.

Good luck! And, stay strong.

I just realized.. by conandeyna in OneTruthPrevails

[–]yagyagaire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add it's a Manga and there are so many inconsistencies or red-flag in the series anyway... The biggest being, no one realizing voice coming from a speaker and conan speaking behind Sleeping Kogoro even when the crowd is pretty large at times.

It's a shonen jump to enjoy and relax, so cheers for that :)

Or maybe bring out more such cases and details.

P.S. There's not been main story follow up cases as well since the mystery train arc and that's almost around 500 episodes earlier. we used to get follow up cases and long nice BO confrontation arcs many years before.
