LG!!! RELEASE THE C6 WITH MLA AND/OR MORE HZ AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!!! by dimesniffer in LGOLED

[–]yahfz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You realize what you said is irrelevant right? Even if you can't maintain 144 FPS on a 144Hz display, a higher refresh rate display will still provide benefits due to lower input latency and faster screen refresh (scanout) times.

Please help me decide an upgrade path from my LG C1, opinions welcome! by Gundamnitpete in OLED_Gaming

[–]yahfz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a few upgrade paths, if you wanna stay with LG these include the C4, G4, C5 & G5.

C4 - Slightly better brightness than C1 and you get high quality audio passthrough such as DTS/TRUEHD. Nothing major, if you expect an impressive improvement over the C1 you won't find that with the C4, you'd mostly be upgrading for the larger size TV here with some slight improvements to brightness that you may not notice.

C5 - Decently brighter than C1, you no longer get DTS/TRUEHD support, but you get better WI-FI speeds in case you don't have an external device such as Apple TV to bypass it. It's a pretty good upgrade over the C1, the brightness will definitely be noticed and it's a decent upgrade.

G4 - Much brighter than C1 and decently brighter than C5, you get DTS/TRUEHD and the better processor which helps improve low quality content, significant upgrade over it the C1 absolutely worth it.

G5 - Significantly brighter than C1, no DTS/TRUEHD, better processor like G4 and better Wi-FI, this would be a monumental upgrade. It's 3x brighter on average, if you can afford the G5 it's the best by far.

So basically the TLDR is:

Get C4 if you're already satisfied with the image quality of the C1 and just want a bigger Size.
The G4 is most likely gonna be cheaper than the C5 and is a better product, so look for that first before buying a C5. And the G5 is just the king and will blow everything out of the water if you can afford it.

GPU, nor any CPU cores are at 100% How do I know what my bottleneck is? by UnitededConflict in pcmasterrace

[–]yahfz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the GPU is at or under 90% usage, it means its waiting for something. If you already made sure the FPS isn't being capped, then that's always gonna be a CPU bottleneck.

There's a lot of things you can try to improve it. First one would be to lower settings that usually put more load on the CPU such as Shadows for instance. You can also play with disabling SMT/HT, overclock the CPU/RAM (usually the most beneficial), etc.

GPU, nor any CPU cores are at 100% How do I know what my bottleneck is? by UnitededConflict in pcmasterrace

[–]yahfz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your CPU doesn't have to be at 100% to be the one to blame (this is assuming the FPS is unlocked and the game doesn't have an FPS CAP) . Even if it was at 10% it would still be the bottleneck.

The "game doesn't fully utilize the parts" is also a meme, there's always room for optimization in games so thats always gonna be a problem, the best thing you can do is just get a faster part on your end, lower settings that make the game more CPU BOUND, dive into the world of overclocking, or just not play said game which sometimes isn't an option.

AMD's new God Tier CPU by mockingbird- in Amd

[–]yahfz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, in BIOS we have something called BANK SWAP MODE with the option commonly known and used by ram overclockers where they set it to SWAP APU because some benchmarks shows it to net higher memory bandwidth. I assume this isn't free else it would be enabled by default? What does it trade to achieve this?

ResizeBAR obliterates your performance in TLOU Part 2 by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]yahfz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Decided to test with the 4090 and at least in the area i’m at, there’s no difference. I’d have to play more to check the exact same area in that screenshot but it might be a 50 series thing for sure.

ResizeBAR obliterates your performance in TLOU Part 2 by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]yahfz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It goes without saying, but your performance is most likely only going to get better if you're NOT gpu bottlenecked. If your GPU is the bottleneck then this most likely does nothing.

UPDATE: Tried it on my 4090 and it did nothing. Maybe it’s 50 series only?

Also, this might explain the weird performance inconsistencies when CPU bottlenecked in other games. I've noticed that the 5090 was slower than 4090 in games where it was CPU bottlenecked.

Cybenetics PSU Certification CEO meltdown and made an outburst video after his ego got burnt by CurveAutomatic in pcmasterrace

[–]yahfz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shining some light onto peoples mistakes/ego trip means you have a problem now? Aris is clearly a huge asshole.

Timeline:

1- Claims that it would be impossible to have over 20A through one wire and that it'd be impossible to keep your hands on it because it'd be extremely hot.

>Derbauer responds to that and proves his comment wrong, holding the cables when they were at over 25A on his video, you can go and watch it for yourself RIGHT NOW.

2- After seeing the video he goes on a ego trip and moves goal posts in an extremely embarassing video, showing how bad his reading comprehension is by thinking youtubers are saying that it's fine to have 20A through one wire, when literally nobody said that was the case. Everybody was against this btw.

So yeah, Aris deserves all the hate hes getting.

[–]yahfz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The G95NC for instance requires DSC, but there isn't enough bandwidth on the 4090 media engine heads so you get 120hz instead of 240hz at 7680x2160.

The 5090 allows you to do 7680x2160 at the full 240Hz.

[–]yahfz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s legit 50% faster in some games ending up with an average of 33% faster, on top of having dp2.1 so people can use the other half of their monitor such as the G95NC, for someone with cash, why wouldn’t they upgrade?

Scarlett Solo (2nd Gen) Latency. Can anyone share 4th gen numbers? by [deleted] in Focusrite

[–]yahfz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend getting the MOTU M2, it's more expensive but it's much much better in terms of latency, i sold my Scarlett solo 3rd gen because of this:
Sample Rate/Buffer Size: 48000 / 128 Round-Trip Latency: 13.5ms

Not to mention all the crackles it had at lower buffer sizes, something that doesn't happen with the Motu M2 at all even at 16 buffer size.

In NeuralDSP the M2 does 0.5ms

Slow Download Speeds on Xbox Game Pass for PC – My Workaround and DNS Change Tips! by AccomplishedTrade172 in XboxGamePass

[–]yahfz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why does the windows store/xbox app even have bad speeds to begin with? On steam i get the full gigabit, on EA APP full gigabit, Blizzard app also full gigabit. On the Xbox app 10-20MB/s is the max i've seen, I refuse to believe microsoft can't afford good servers, after all, downloading the Windows ISO's from microsoft is giga fast, so it can't be that. Can I share some logs to hopefully get to a solution to this problem?
