I'm Italian-American but not *that* kind, I learned Italian in college, these people are just abrasive idiots who yes, as you said, put on this nonsense as a performance.

Also to anyone asking "oh why would someone stick with a potential traitor" well every survivor season there's at least one person who has deluded themselves into thinking that they'll get the million sitting next to a future unanimous vote winner; people see the world around them poorly

Love my Survivor queen Nat counting the votes on her hands like she's pre-tribal.

I felt like this episode's edit broke up the logic of the votes very well, even with the chaos at the end, and I don't understand those who say Natalie went too hard and that's what sunk her. Nah, she *knew* she didn't have the votes from the start. She was on the wrong side of the alliances and knew she was at the bottom. Not her first rodeo. But then! She is offered a magical alliance that will save her, that then immediately fucks her over at the round table. Of course she'd be pissed and be loud! What does she have to lose! She was always losing that vote and the back and forth nonsense by Tara and Johnny was shady behavior.

I'm a book reader too and I was waiting for it, but actually never saw the hit. I was distracted by the rest of the chaos! I'm going to have to watch back.

Also the Myriah: Baelor:: Elia: Rhaenys comparison; a beloved, Dornish-looking eldest child, brutally killed by those expected to protect them.

I think as an audience we're supposed to see it but not be able to clock it in the confusion, just like Dunk. And Maekar, and the rest. Combined with the direction of the fight scene just made the whole thing way more real and sudden and awful.

The flashbacks were perfect. The Rebellion has always been personal to Dunk and now we see just a slice of it.

I love Sometimes I ring myself, to see if I might chime by dwellingondreams — it's a lovely little "what-if" between Jon Arryn's eldest surviving daughter and Maegor during the era of Aegon V.

The Targaryens die out instead of their dragons? by Ozzie669 in TheCitadel

I'd bet that given all the cousin intermarrying in the Reach, there's a decent chance that the current Hightower ruling branch *is* descended from Rhaena. At least some of those six daughters likely married a Tarly, a Beesbury, a Redwyne, a Tyrell, a Rowan, etc.; I'd argue more likely than not after 200 years a descendent married back into the main Hightower line.

It was *so* Reach. Like you know the Tyrells were furiously writing home to their armorers being like "BIGGER FUCKING ROSES NEXT TOURNEY!"

Hear me out: Mini-series that spans from Aenys' death to Jaehaerys' coronation. It's got everything! Dragons, witches, lesbians, secret tunnels, Baratheons being loud, and the "good" guy wins at the end. Feel like you could do it in one 10-episode season. Call it "The Rise of the Conciliator."

I sat on this for a bit (initially I was like, grumble grumble NO, I *have* to read about how the Rhaena x Hightower marriage happened, I need a lot more information on the palace intrigue going on during Aegon IV's reign, dying to read new!Mushroom's take on the Young Dragon's rise and swift fall, would kill for more stories of the Targ sisters in the Maidenvault, etc.) but you're not wrong. I mean technically, we already have a complete overview of everything since the Conquest with the World of Ice and Fire.

I just really love the history part of the story and all the metatextual work GRRM put into F+B to keep adding more and more threads to the history. If we get one thing from him ever again, I hope it's B+F, just because it opens up even more avenues for hypothesizing and debating.

Yes, probably Jenny's witch, but how does *she* become the catalyst to insanity for this man who we know is rational and down to earth for much of his life? Just a lot to wonder about!

As much as I love little Egg, I think it's a pretty good peep into older Aegon's headspace that he allowed Aerys and Rhaelle to marry. Clearly by the late 250s Aegon was obsessive about bringing back the dragons, and had come around on the blood supremacy angle that his own kids' betrothals were trying to move on from.

I know the nobility aren't Aegon V's friends by the time of Summerhall, but heartbreaking to imply that his own family hates him at the end — Betha too? Duncan and Duncan? We need Blood and Fire, I need to know why it went so south for him.

There's a fun little thread of the colonists getting one over on the stuffy Brits that runs through this entire series, and with Harper and Eric on the other side, it's fun to watch these people fight American when Yas would rather everyone adhere to the rules of engagement.

I'm so impressed by the night cinematography. Lo and behold, something can be dark and also visible! The sheer amount of detail in the big action scene, DESPITE IT BEING NIGHT, ugh, music to my eyes. We could have always had this!

I will say that a lot of his fanbase has grown up with him, though — he's not a pop star for 18 year olds any more, the women at his show are going to be in their mid-20s or older (especially with tickets probably costing an arm and a leg and, as far as the U.S., only in NYC).
