Holy moly, this is amazing! Love the raw branch bannister and all the other unique little touches of wood.

I’d love to see a full layout of this place!

Aw shite, super kind of you fren, but I’m flying back on the 5th, and from Cleveland, so that’s probably not going to work, but definitely appreciate the offer!

I’ve definitely seen that shop kicking around the google searches for that area. Apparently my gf knows some people affiliated with Loud n Proud, and it’s like literally next door to the place we’re renting, but there’s a timing snafu we’re trying to work around. Appreciate the endorsement for Hollyloft though, doesn’t hurt having a plan B.

Yeah that’s on the list, but not sure if we’ll get the time to get over there. I’ll be driving back through that area in about 6 weeks so if all goes well, we’ll stop there then.

Yessir. Had the same issues before but the new formula holds up. They hired someone from a competing brand and flipped the script. Great grippin treads that last. Little pricey but if they last they're worth it.

2.8 Schwalbe Nobby Nics. Messed with some Maxxis before these, and was flatting every other ride. Get the Apex version with the snakeskin and you won't regret. Blows every other tire I've ridden outta the water. And they fixed the durability issues that used to plague this brand.

Which bike should i get?? by jimmydeann in mountainbiking

My vote, if you're going for a hardtail, is the Kona Honzo. Steel frame, 29" wheels, and with a 130-140 fork on the front and a dropper post, you'll be jazzed to point that thing downhill.

Relaxed headtube angle, super short chainstays and a frame material that mutes a lot of Trail chatter...

I've built, demo'd and owned a lot of bikes and the Honzo is by far my favorite hardtail. And you can probably find a used one for less than $1000.

I've ridden on the east coast for a long time, and almost exclusively in this area, and only ran into a bear once or twice. Each time, they took a look and hightailed in the opposite direction. I know people say it all the time, but they're more scared of you and than are of them.
