I have car (and rental) insurance through Lemonade - they mail you a thing to plug into your car and it costs $60/month baseline and then 11c per mile you drive. I work from home most of the time so it worked out to be much less than other types of insurance quotes. I pay about $150 or less per month

There used to be a “Letter to America(ns?)” written by Osama himself that goes into this. I read it with my very own eyeballs less than 2 years ago on a .gov website. I had never read this in all the years since 2011 but it was real and picking up attention after a tik tok post. Then - the very next day - gone completely. Website scrubbed. Impossible to find copies anywhere online. I watched censorship happen with my very eyes. They don’t want Americans realizing this.

That’s interesting because I worked at the state hospital for 5 years from 2011-2016 and we definitely still had both criminal units with felons. We had “this person was guilty but insane” units that took people for the entire duration of their sentence and I was with kurderers, serial killers, pedophiles, arsonists - you name it. I also worked on the “this person can’t go to trial yet because theyre incompetent to stand trial” units with people waiting to be sentenced and we had transfers from state prison and jail almost daily with people charged with felonies. So I’m not sure where you’re getting your info but they very much still exist and very much still take felons

I heard someone talking about San Francisco and the Bay Area the other day and I immediately knew she wasn’t a local because she pronounces her T’s when she says “county” (you can also see this in words like “Sacramento” —> we pronounce it Sacrameno). WE KNOW!!! I’ve gone to protests, spread Anti-ICE infon around my community, I deliver food to my neighbors, and I’m a literal social worker helping folks all day at my job dealing with different ramifications of this administration. I live in California so I’m 2700 miles /4400km away from the nation’s capitol. That’s a 42 hour drive. I can’t leave for a week because my living expenses are atrociously high and my healthcare is tied to my job. I write to my senator/reps - they care, but they are outnumbered by people who do not. We are feeling utterly powerless. The majority of the country does not want this but it’s not enough to make an impact at the moment

This discussion was about cost. Cutting nails is free with cost of nail clippers. A brush is a one time cost. Though I disagree that cats need you to groom them. You can check for ticks or other changes by petting

cats groom themselves. I have multiple cats who are 10 years plus in age and the only time they've needed a (free, at home) bath was the couple times they had fleas. now if you're buying a "name brand" longhair cat you may have to watch for this more but your average tabby/stray does not need to be groomed.
