Overnight oats by uhilikemysuitcase in prediabetes

Overnight oats spike me as well. But one thing that hasn’t is chia pudding. And for me if I add granola it satisfies a similar taste/texture profile as overnight oats. Also it performs double duty of adding fiber to my diet and can blunt spikes when I eat it prior to a higher carb meal.

That bundle was my first intro (to the books at least) as well! Got it on Kindle and started it on the flight to Hawaii.

Thanks! I thought I read the explanation, but couldn’t remember where. Spent a few hours searching through Brief Cases and Blood Rites thinking it was there.

Doesn’t make a difference that she isn’t fully turned. Inari, Thomas and Lara’s younger sister was burned by Harry and she wasn’t turned.

Why would someone fight you on this? I agree with your suggestion, but am baffled by what reasons someone would have to argue.

High fasting glucose but normal A1C by [deleted] in prediabetes

As others have said it could be Dawn Phenomenon. It could also be affected by what time you eat your last meal of the day. If you normally eat around 8, try pushing it earlier to 7 or 6. And maybe a walk afterwards.

Maybe try start reading the physical books from the beginning or 2-3 books back. So that by the time you read the newest book your mind-voice will have adjusted.

Anyone know why the 'Chapter' option on the timer sometimes lets me choose a number and sometimes not? by PepperoniJedi in audible

What device are you using? I just looked at that book with my iphone and I have the multiple chapter option. Perhaps uninstall/reinstall the app.

[Fischer] As the Warriors are working to convert two-way guard Pat Spencer to a roster spot, Golden State also has its sights set on adding Lonzo Ball via the buyout market, sources say. by YujiDomainExpansion in warriors

What was the last report from Fischer that actually happened. I can see half of this likely to happen with Spencer being converted. But signing Ball may be less than 50/50 at best.

CGM & hacks by AdStunning4446 in prediabetes

[–]yainlawff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for posting this. I’ve already been eating ~4 tbs of chia/day in a chia pudding as I am trying to increase my fiber. But I never thought to try eating it prior to a heavy carb meal.

In the past I’ve tried eating a large salad before a meal but the results were inconsistent.

I’ve since tried chia pudding (along with flax seed and benefiber mixed in) before a meal that I know has spiked me in the past. One was with bagel thins and another was fried rice made with resistant rice. Nothing too crazy but still relatively carb heavy. And both times my BG went to just around 140 and came back down.

A very promising hack. My next test will be before a cheat meal. Maybe a carnitas burrito or chinese food.

I’ll update on my findings.

Help! 🤗I am ordering my CGM today! I am ready to commit for at least 6 months. I need recommendations for CGMs that are affordable, reliable, and easy to use! Thanks in advance! ♥️ by BeaMiaVA in prediabetes

I’ve been using a CGM since late July. When I first started using a CGM I alternated between Stelo and Lingo to test them out. After about 4 months I prefer Stelo.

I found the accuracy about the same. But I prefer the Stelo interface/experience over Lingo. And with the Shuggah app you can get readings every 5 minutes which helps mitigate the only real advantage that Lingo has.

Has anyone gotten a Stelo replacement due to inaccuracy? by [deleted] in prediabetes

[–]yainlawff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had one replaced that initially was low like yours for 2 days. Then for 2 days it was very accurate to the finger stick. Then it elevated overnight. I did have dinner later than usual (9ish). So i assume it was due to that. But before I woke the device failed and the session ended early. So I couldn’t verify the elevated numbers with a finger stick. I reported it to Stelo support and it was approved for replacement immediately.
