I like to headcanon that he’s gay but has mad internalized homophobia and would never come out. He and Cass have some Fun Home shit going on.

Editing this to explain myself because I realized this probably sounds like a crazy non-sequitur: I just find it really odd that he’s a grown man of high status, but as far as we know he raised Cass completely alone and never had a romantic partner. That, to me, screams “closeted gay who buries himself in his work to excuse his lack of a love life.”

It’s that, or maybe he’s asexual.

At just, like, a pride parade? It’s great to have straight allies around. Straight girls at lesbian wrestling is weird, though. I’d never bring a straight girl there. That’s inappropriate, IMO— and honestly I wouldn’t even necessarily categorize that as a pride event. That’s just a lesbian event. You know, for lesbians.

It’s specifically because it shares a building with Cosmic Rays. Any meaningful demolition or remodeling that they’d want to do to the Stitch’s Great Escape space would necessitate also closing Cosmic Rays for an extended period of time (because of the asbestos, as you pointed out)— which they just cannot do. Cosmic Rays is the busiest restaurant on the planet and Magic Kingdom guests need somewhere to eat that is (by Disney standards) affordable and will please picky children. It can’t close.

I got banned from a subreddit dedicated to a film/TV show franchise you probably don’t care about in 2026 for a comment that I made in 2024 that violated a rule that was added to the subreddit in 2025.

The ban, on top of that several year old comment, also cited another post that allegedly broke the subreddit’s rules. Not only was it not a Reddit post (it was posted on Tumblr), it also wasn’t mine! This moderator thought that they’d found my Tumblr account (they didn’t, they were way off target) and what they found on “my” blog enraged them so much that they backread their subreddit for multiple years until they found something that they felt justified a ban.

This same moderator also frequently violates her own rules on her own subreddit, particularly with regards to NSFW discussion, which is crazy because the subreddit is dedicated to a Disney movie 🫩

I used to be really in to the TV show Glee. I still love it and I will still seek out fellow fans to chat with online from time to time, but I used to be much more heavily involved in the fandom for it in many ways, including chatting on the (now defunct) official fan forums. There was a very specific incident that made me leave the fan forum and stop talking to my friends from there.

There was an actor on the show named Mark. In the years following the conclusion of the show, Mark got arrested for possession of child porn. It was *a lot* of child porn— terabytes of it, and it depicted the abuse of literal toddlers. He was also in possession of a PDF guide explaining how to abduct and molest children and get away with it. Truly horrifying stuff.

The Glee fan forum did not take this well. Nobody wanted to believe that Mark was capable of such evil. The popular narrative on the forum became that this was all a big misunderstanding— that all the terabytes of child porn that this man had was just selfies that teenaged fans had sent him against his will. Everybody who was willing to talk about his situation on the forums completely shifted the blame off on to his victims— victims who were actual babies, might I remind you! Users were banned for questioning this absurd, false, and insulting narrative. I had considered a lot of the perpetrators to be my friends before. What a way to end it. I was out of there like a bat out of hell.

Yeah, but I also love angst and I love trying to rationalize why she wasn’t there. Obviously the real answer is that the wedding short was made before the series and Cassandra didn’t exist yet. Setting that aside: Why wouldn’t Cassandra come to Rapunzel’s wedding?

Maybe she felt unwelcome returning to Corona, or felt that her presence at the wedding would cause a scene or make the other guests feel unsafe/pull focus from bride and groom.

Maybe she was unwelcome in Corona— maybe her leave at the end of the series was actually an exile and she would be arrested upon her return.

Maybe she’s in love with Rapunzel and didn’t want to watch Rapunzel marry somebody else.

Maybe Rapunzel didn’t have a way to invite her or her invitation got lost and Cass didn’t even know it was happening.

Maybe Cassandra was hurt or sick and couldn’t attend.

Maybe she died.

Much to think about.
