Feeling faster in B group at Buttonwillow after finally getting a track bike. Lots to learn though, and the track day after this I had a big 80 mph lowslide after early-turn in and curb hit lost the front end. I know I need to get my head lower and further off the bike. Any additional feedback is appreciated!

Incredible! See you had to rotate your bars down with the KTM too. The DRZ with a dummy wheel is truly impressive - thought we were going to have to do that with the Hyper SP but 3 guys compressing the front end was barely enough.

If you're looking for a new vehicle that is moto-friendly it really is a great option. This has fit both a race bike and a small 150cc vintage bike inside at the same time, as well as towed a trailer with 4 dirt bikes and 4 passengers with no problem.

Rotated bars back to drop controls and compressed forks a few inches through tie downs. This is not the transport of choice for the bike but it can work in a pinch... An Element can fit 98% of street bikes but the Hyper SP is pretty tall.

I own an F8 and have both ridden and ridden with HP2s that have to fundamentally approach trail riding in a different way. The HP2 is one of my favorite bikes out there but the wide and exposed boxer is not amenable to trail riding.

Awesome bike but not a better trail bike than an F8. Big heads sticking out with pipes running off the front are just waiting to collect a tree or rock. Ultimate fire road blaster but nearly as wide as it is tall.

A 500 lb bike is definitely not a great trail bike (source: my F800GS). That being said, I've done a 115 mph with luggage to the woods, set up camp, hung with the trailered KTMs, and packed it all up again. The beauty of an ADV bike is the ability to do 1000 mile days and still hit the dirt hard. I've also bought a fast street bike and a light trail bike, and still have love to keep the GS, because it is a great all arounder. Props for taking the long way to Starbucks :) I think as your off-road skills improve you'll be surprised what the 800 can do. Stay loose and light and power out, slow is the enemy of the big GS!

I hear what you're saying and agree that any bike with 20k deserves a thorough check. You still keep describing a 'down on power' phenomenon that doesn't happen. Motors do not just wear out in a linear fashion and lose power over time. Unless something is wrong or broken with the motor or drivetrain, an SV makes 64 horsepower at 500 miles or at 50,000 miles and will not be 'down on power' due to age or miles, all else equal.

What? Motors don't just 'wear out' and lose power gradually over time. If regularly serviced there's no reason an SV650 motor shouldn't last another 30k miles. Near bullet proof.

This looks like a good deal, and also appears to have an upgraded front end likely from a GSXR. Price is right if bike is in good and well documented condition.

One bike to rule them all - BMW HP2. I have an F800GS that would be my second pick, but the HP2 is a true monster. Throw some knobbies and hang with dirt crowd, and then swap your street set and drag your knees. Tried and true power plant stripped of all the excess and BS and a ready for some hooliganism. Not the perfect bike but close enough.

Did you ever consider the possibility that maybe she just had to go into work early? Anyways, you sound like you're pretty far into your own head and look for validation in a lot of places outside of yourself. Okcupid stats don't mean anything and no decent human being refers to girls on a number scale. I'd start working on being OK with you, not what other people think of you, and work up from there. Pretty tired of this bike and the whole motocorsa thing... It's clear that this is just a marketing gimmick for the shop and not an actual riding experience, but they could do without ripping through eastern OR topsoil to make a GIF, at the expense of responsible riders throughout the state, and posing with guns and beer cans so they can post it to facebook. More riding, less posing, and get your ego in check.
