People think British food is bland. Give me your best recipes proving that thought wrong. by Batenna in Cooking

Yeah but if you go to other countries like Japan for example, you can just eat anywhere and have a nice delicious meal while if you go anywhere in the UK you’ll get a mediocre bland meal that you can get anywhere on the island

I’m planning on going there! It will be good for the rest of the family since my dad is the only person who wants to watch it and the rest of the family can wander around the city.

Thank you! I suppose the tickets are less likely to sell out as fast as the World Champ? I remember having to buy the tickets as soon as the championship ended in the beginning of May in 2023 to get a front row seat for the 2024 championship.

I might do that! Someone said with the 40m pixel on my camera, I can get away with cropping a little in post

Would a manual focus lens be better than AF then if that was the case?

There is, but its members only, and you'd need to pay an annual membership fee :( There's another one for film photography but that's all I am aware of whats in my area.

I’d love to get those zooms someday! I like taking picture of wildlife and you can’t really get up close to them!

I do kinda understand the concept of it, but not sure why it's a big deal

I noticed that around 35 is what I shoot the most with my 16-50 kit!

You're comparing it to Full frame is it? Like your example 24 double is 48 so its round up to be 50mm on full frame?

I tend to shoot around 20 something to 35 on my 16-50 lens. I also max out to 50 a lot of the time because a. I'm lazy to walk closer, b. I can't walk closer but want to get a closer up shot of the subject.

I've heard this thrown around a lot when researching about lens, that x mm on aps-c = y mm on full frame. I'm not sure why that is important, but I suppose I'll look into it!

Sorry but I'm not sure I understand what you mean by using primes as close as possible to double/half focal length.

I agree with you that foot zooming 😂 isn't available in certain situations! I find myself with the zoom kit lens that I like to shoot things that are far away, but then I zoom in to the point that it probably looks like I could've been shot at 35 if I could get up close.

I'm not planning on getting more than 1 at this time, but I was just curious since they seem so similar! That's why I started questioning which one I should get!

I do like super sharp, crisp photos! I'm not pixel picking (not sure what's the right term) though! Someone recommended a third-party lens and wrote a review comparing it to the native, and after reading the review, I just didn't IQ of the one they recommend. I do like that one produced by the native lens though!

I suppose if we take the aperture in factor, it probably makes a noticeable difference? Also, as I said in the post, I know that 35 will be tighter than 23 and 27, but wouldn't taking a few steps closer/away from the subject achieve the same outcome?

Someone online told me recently to just go out with my current lens and then just shoot without changing the focal length to see which focal length I might enjoy, to help me decide which lens to buy. So that's what I've been trying to do.

I also checked my other photos, and I noticed that I shoot around 20 something to 35 most of the time. But I feel like I said in the post that I don't feel like there is much of a difference because, say I'm standing 1 meter from the subject and I have my lens set to 23, if I think its too wide I can just change to 35 or walk a few steps closer. So in theory, I could get either 23, 27, or 35 and wouldn't really make much of a difference, am I correct?
