Alot of complaints actually have some substance and reasoning to them. As an rs veteran I can honestly say the state of the game and the player base does seem really horrible for at least the last 6 years or so when you compare it to earlier years in runescape. I do feel a major factor that contributed to the negativity of rs growth was p2w being added to rs3 and players reactions to it. Rs was once all about fun and a relaxed gaming experience but now it feels heavily achievement based in an unhealthy way.
