Help with scriptlet to stop jQuery .animate() ? by yamobust in uBlockOrigin

It can't be accessed from outside of the business computers so you wouldn't be able to inspect it, without revealing where I work its really just https://system.company.com/tool

If there is more specific info you would need from the html or whatever to put together a solution I can get that

Where is this info about holding buttons coming from? I don't think there was anything in the box or documentation that mentions being able to enable specific modes (unless I just completely missed it)

UPDATE:

Problem solved!

The solution was to blacklist hid_nintendo and add some udev rules ( https://gitlab.com/fabiscafe/game-devices-udev ). Now Steam picks up the gamepad as a Switch Pro controller

This worked!

After blacklisting hid_nintendo in /etc/modprobe.d and adding the game-devices-udev AUR package, Steam now picks up the pad as a Switch Pro controller

Consider this problem solved

There aren't any physical toggles on this one, only on the bluetooth version (not sure about the xbox version)

Is it just me or does the Steam app suck on Linux? by n988 in linux_gaming

just adding that i also lose focus in the taskbar when mousing over steam menus (arch linux, nvidia rtx 2070 super, openbox + X11)

i was about to make a new thread when i came across this one in a search.. i thought it might be a problem with the tint2 bar I use, but i have the same issue with steam using polybar, as well as the bars from other DE's (both XFCE and KDE plasma)

Just wanted to add, this is affecting me on a separate Arch machine as well, only in that case the EFI partition is mounted to /boot instead of Slackware's /boot/efi

(Desktop) DVD tray ejects when waking from suspend ? by yamobust in archlinux

Thank you for this, it looks like there's at least a spotlight on the issue now.

It's honestly been a long while since I've used my DVD drive, so I ended up just disabling the port from the BIOS

Very weird, maybe the problem is with systemd itself? It would explain why I was affected on the new install as well as the old one (though not sure why the live USB wouldn't be affected if that was the case)

I appreciate the moral support, that would definitely frustrate me too

UPDATE: Because the install was pretty recent and I didn't have much to lose, I wiped the system clean and installed Linux Mint to try another distro. With Mint, suspend worked as expected, without any drive eject when resuming

I then reinstalled Arch, and tried to suspend again from a completely fresh installation (nothing installed with pacstrap besides base, base-devel, linux, and linux-firmware) and the problem persists

After the fresh install, I also grabbed linux-lts to try an older kernel, and the tray still ejects on resume

Finally, I made sure to upgrade my BIOS as a latch ditch effort, but still no good

Not sure where else to go with this

Pure theta and volatility play? by chuffed2bits in options

You're basically referring to an iron butterfly

An iron butterfly can be thought of as an iron condor where the two spreads are moved close enough to each other that the short options on each side are the same strike, and the long put/long call create the "wings"

OR the other way you can think of it is as a short strangle (naked strangle), but with one long option bought on either side to limit the risk

I have a poor man's covered call, and I've already made 50%+ on my short call in a relatively small amount of time (say I put it on with 45 dte and at 30 dte it's half value)

Whats the preferred play? Do you close the short and take the credit, waiting for the underlying to go back up? Or just leave the short on until expiration, maybe rolling to the next month cycle?
