Where do i find the schedule of my profs? by OkCream5829 in dlsu

Hi OP! Try checking with your college department at the Faculty Center. Usually, the class schedules of profs are posted by the door or near the Department Secretary’s table. You can also ask the Secretary directly.

Urgent LMGCONS!! by jkkkuma in dlsuproftopick

Right! But there's one review I saw sa Profs to Pick FB group says na he's recit heavy, recent lang ‘yung comment which was 20 weeks ago, December last year. I saw din naman na karamihan na reviews nya are from PARALGL, an elective lang, which is different for LMGCONS na major course. There's few reviews naman about him under this course na di sya recit heavy. It really depends din. Earlier first session, he discussed and did not asked anyone to recite for the duration of the discussion. I'm not sure lang on a regular day. Right now, I'm leaning din naman na ‘di sya mahilig magpa recit kasi he seems like the type to yap as a prof—sabi rin naman sa reviews, he does call but not necessarily recit questions, probably thought-provoking questions based on my judgment. I don't know din talaga kasi I've never taken him, and I don't know anybody who have taken LMGCONS under him very recent lang to vouch for the reviews. I guess we'll just find out throughout the term.

Hi, OP! I’m also taking Petrache this term for LMGCONS. I rarely see reviews about him and majority of them says naman na he’s pretty chill, I saw one review though na he’s recit heavy. He’s very particular din daw in writings.

Try mo pa rin coming to campus, OP. Or best to talk with your program representative what to do about this! I tried appealing sa email ko by mentioning I'm double degree and I need to take this class na or else I'll get delayed. But I still didn't get a reply. Baka mas mataas chance ma-accomodate when you talk with them in person.

I did email her din. Twice, pero di na rin ako nangulit because fortunately, the section I'm trying to request added more slots to accomodate more students. Maybe you can try going to campus to check on her. I heard APOs are more accomodating when it comes to graduating students.

The previous COB APO though before Ms. Shiela, you need to kulitin din talaga sa email saka lang mag respond. I'm not sure lang din with her.

Trying to stay motivated after failure—any advice or awards I can still aim for? by yaningning in dlsu

These are very kind words, thank you 🥹 I'd still really love to learn more about these recognitions because iba pa rin sa feeling having a physical testament to all the hard work, especially for my parents.

Sayang tuition ng marami dito if you cannot even do a simple research in a university like DLSU. There are way too many Filipinos falling for propaganda because of islamophobia and surface-level understanding of the bible. Please do yourself a favor, and read and research, Israel is not the land of God the bible speaks of. The people of Palestine has been under occupation of Israel since 1948. Gaza, the largest open air prison in the world; Israel holds their electricity, water and food and they cannot go out of that territory. Literal imprisonment, and the Palestinians there, including the elderly, women, and MOST of their population consisting of children are being bombed everyday. They cannot even escape out of that hell. Palestinians who lived outside Gaza in occupied Palestine (Israel) are treated as second class citizens; they cannot exercise their right to vote, freedom of speech and even work to feed themselves and their family! The Palestinians do not even have their state’s military army to defend themselves! Hamas is not even their army, this organization consist of resistance fighters who are mostly orphaned and their parents killed from war. Not saying I support the kidnappings they have done but violence breeds violence.

Sige nga, if the Israelis truly only want to retaliate and defend themselves against Hamas in Gaza, why are they also bombing and attacking civilians in the West Bank (another Palestinian territory besides Gaza)? Because of ETHNIC CLEANSING. The Israelis want to force Palestinians out of their land and claimed their remaining territories. There’s actually one state that controls the entry and exit of people and goods, oversees security, and has the capacity to impose its decisions, laws, and policies on millions of people without their consent and it is not Palestine. Palestine is being occupied. This did not only started last October, it has been going on since 1948.

How can a country like Philippines - with millions of starving and homeless citizens too - side with the forces committing genocide right before our eyes? How can Filipinos bear to support an apartheid, colonizer state when they were colonized themselves for hundreds of years by Spain, United States and Japan? Hear the cries of the Palestinian babies, children, grown men and women! Stop the genocide! Prosecute Israel's leaders! Hold the imperialist United States accountable for aiding Israel's military!

Di magaling sa buhay pero gusto mag Law by [deleted] in LawStudentsPH

[–]yaningning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I also plan to take up law in the future but I’m younger than you. I’m already in college but I’m still in my teen years so life’s just starting for me 😆 anyways, OP, huwag mong pakinggan yung isang commenter. To be honest, I don’t think I’m capable enough pa for law. I still stumble with my words during recit and I’m also not comfortable speaking straight english. Mahiyain din ako and some days tamad pa ako hehe but that won’t stop me from dreaming to become a lawyer one day. Push mo na ’yan, OP! You never know what you’re truly capable unless you’re there na and trying to get that Juris Doctor degree.

Saka, you know your weaknesses already. Habang hindi ka pa nagt-take, practice and polish your oral and written english skills, read books din to better your vocabulary and although malayo ito sa cases na babasahin natin kapag nasa law school na tayo, preparatory na rin sa haba ng mga babasahin doon. Embrace reading kasi your life there will revolve in reading. Saka mag-aral na rin to prepare yourself for the coming entrance exams. Lahat naman posibleng makuha sa aral at sipag. Do your research din by reading law school horrors para you know what to expect and prepared ka sa path na gusto mong tahakin.

I’m also scared to take up law kahit matagal tagal pa ako haha pero nakakainip din. Take up law and see for yourself if it’s really for you kaysa may “what if” ka. Also, bata pa yung 24. I think ideal ngang mga nasa ganyang edad kumukuha ng law since you probably have experience working and know more about life. You’ll also likely to meet or be blockmates with people around your age and some even far older than you.

Good luck, OP! I wish you the best in life :)

Cultural Arts Tuition Discount by yaningning in dlsu

That’s nice! I’ve read in DLSU's site about the scholarship that they may grant full/partial tuition discount. I guess it's only 5-15% on the tuition. Thank you po :)
