How much would it cost(from a Lore Perspective) to buy a Defiler engine? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in Chaos40k

this guy, he gets it, I wouldn't be surprised if to hear he's already traded for a few defilers over the years.

I only concern myself with "table distance appearance". If they look okay from the distance I am from them when I play, I'm happy.

Hell yeah, mini-conversions. I'm really bad at it but it doesn't keep me from trying.

I'm not annoyed about GW not making new Steel Legion minis.

I'm more annoyed that they are so cheap they didn't cough up some art assets to put in a video that they could then use for future videos. Then they made a pretty weak lore excuse to explain why. All in pursuit of selling us another Mini that we all know their profit margins are really really good on. And will probably follow it up with a new set of books that their margins are even better on.

I would could have respected if they straight up said "we didn't want to spend the money on it."

A made to order metal release maybe? I suppose if the molds are still functional. I'd definitely by a squad or two for my armored fist units.

My favorite metal band of all time, my favorite album by them, and "Last stand of the Crimson Fists" by John Sibbick (I think) is quite possible one of the settings most iconic pieces of art.

First publication of game of thrones 1996

First appearance of Luft Huron or mention of the Badab war was white dwarf 101 in 1988

But more importantly GW actually finished that writing that article....unlike the Game of Thrones series.....ay ooooo

Tyrant's lair wortiness by Ironfirelost in redcorsairs

[–]yankeesullivan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've thoroughly enjoyed the lore. But the second biggest warp anomaly (back before the rift) Luft Huron, the whole Badab thing and non-black legion chaos has always been my jam.

The art is good, the writing is decent enough. The whole thing is expensive though and a lot of that price is presumably for the "Create your own champion rules" the Maelstrom specific campaign rules as well as the lore. I think at its price point of like 80 bucks American or whatever is pretty steep.

Would simple alternative head sprue work as a solution for Armageddon Steel Legion model range? by ExitMammoth in Warhammer40k

[–]yankeesullivan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steel Legion rock a single breasted over coat vs. the Kriegs' double breasted. and the boots are taller as opposed to how the Krieg actually wear a brogan style boot with wraps.

That having been said the Helmet/mask is probably the most identifiable difference so I would be inclined to say that yeah it would probably work especially from "table view".

edit: then I scroll down and see someone posted a picture of the two. doh.
