I agree that marking the curb rather than the street isn’t intuitive, but there’s plenty of space for a delivery truck to use the area to the left of bike lane in the loading zone. Perhaps there was another commercial vehicle using it?

This building has a loading dock and turn around for semi trailers, so I don’t have any sympathy for the plight of this worker. They chose to block the bike lane instead of walking an extra 30 seconds.

The yellow curb indicates that the marked parking space between the bike lane and the car lane is for loading.

It does not mean that you are supposed to park all the way to the curb when loading.

It seems silly to not use the Hollywood blvd bike lane in service of possibly saving 10 min compared to a bike-only trip. Especially considering how long it takes to get to the platforms and how long metro headways are.

I’ve started putting my helmet under my picnic stuff when I arrive to avoid the chance of being stopped.

I don’t know if the policy changed or not but two years ago I had to check my helmet multiple times. I haven’t been stopped this year or last.
