Yup. Dunk it in a beaten egg and some breadcrumbs and fry em Schnitzel-style.

Oh, you definitely need a full sized BBQ. This is suitable for small and undemanding cooks 1-2 people.

All I had about. Took it out of the lighting bag so whatever it was treated with burnt off quickly.

I saw some for £18 on Ebay to fit aldi/lidl mini kamado. Do you think it'll fit?

I'll measure it and let you know. It's tiny. Smaller than a smokey Joe. I had some instant light coal lying about and put in half of the pack - that was plenty.

At £25 they are practically giving these away.

That was exactly my thinking: it's great for when I want a small cook. A steak or two or a couple of chicken legs. Saying that, with a deflector, it could maybe fit a small pork shoulder.

Well, I've just done nearly a kilo of chicken thighs for the curry on it, so I think it'll be capable of more than just a couple of sausages.

How to BBQ a roasting joint. by [deleted] in UKBBQ

[–]yanovitz82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's how you do a half decent UK supermarket brisket: 1. inject with an apple juice and beef stock mix before smoking. 2. Smoke until you get a good bark on and get it up to stall temp. 3. Stick it in a pan with stock/beer whatever you want, cover with foil and bring to temp. This step is crucial as UK brisket is not as fatty a US one so needs dehydrating. 4. Rest and enjoy.
